Avene Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream, postbiotic skincare for sensitive skin

OK, so the product separates. See other reviews on how to make that better. I am guessing that the chemicals used to *not* make this product separate would be irritating. If you have sensitive skin and are using this for a barrier cream, I cannot recommend it enough. I use it on my lips to prevent dermatitis from my toothpaste. I also have spots on my face that are constantly irritated, and I put it on at night under a moisturizer to soothe my angry patches on my cheek. Anytime I want to soothe or protect my skin, this is my go-to product. The cream goes on white and stays that way because it contains zinc oxide. I use it at night or sparingly. Also of note: it does not cause acne!

This product was recommended to me by my dermatologist, I use it all the time and would recommend it. But what I buy at the clinic is very different from the product I and my daughter received in this Amazon order. I ordered two tubes, one for her and one for me in smaller amounts than what I normally buy. One was for her to try and one was for me for travel. I will never order this product through Amazon again. When I opened the tube, immediately water flowed out of the container. As I use it I have to shake the water off and out of it first before the cream comes out. The cream is not the same consistency of the cream that I buy at the clinic. My daughter gave the one I had sent her back to me because of this same issue, she's uncomfortable using it and she thinks there is something wrong with the product. I think so too. Unfortunately I have missed the window to return the product. So I leave this message instead. As I said, I have been buying this same product at a dermatology clinic. The cream that I buy through them is thicker and does not contain water that pours out of it when you open it. Could this be a result of settling or is the water is being added as a filler? I don't know. What I do know is it definitely does not seem to be the same product that I normally use.

This was recommended to me by AI and it definitely hit the mark! I have dry, sensitive skin that is prone to redness.I love it this product. I use it several times a week in the evening and especially after I use my red light therapy or microneedle. It feels so soothing and nice going on and it instantly calms my skin. It is unscented (which I love since I have sensitive skin). This is moisturizing without being too greasy as well. I think this truly improves and soothes my skin and I will be buying it again in the future - in fact, I think I signed up for a subscription for this.

Thick moisturizer without feeling heavy or greasy. Skins feels nice and hydrated. I got the smaller size so I hope a little goes a long way. It’s my first time getting it, I’ll probably get the larger size next time.

Private. It works well has a bit of a white cast but I use strictly at night. It seems to be restoring my skin but not sure if it's really worth the money that you pay for. I've had other products in the past.That work just is good for less money. I also live in florida and find that this product can be a little heavy for the skin during the summer.

I love this cream I had ablative C02 laser and the office after 14 days sent me home with the Avene SOS kit. It had the gentle face wash, the avene spray H20 , and this wonderful restorative cream and sunscreen NOW, it it true that sometime when you first get it you squeeze and oil only comes out -- just put under warm water and squish the tube to mix up the contents. You may have to do this each time but after about the 4th time I did not have to do anymore completely mixed. It is a thick creme but absorbs well into the skin. Again, just what I needed after my laser. I loved so much will continue to use the wash and the creme for a long time and the sun skin is great too but i would prefer tinted.

I wanted to love this product so much because of the great ingredients it has, that are very beneficial for the skin. But each time I got this in the mail (I reordered it once, just in case the first time around was just a fluke), the ingredients had separated inside the tube in transit, and so when I opened the tube to squeeze some out, the water part that has separated would come squirting out the top and gush everywhere, losing a lot of product, and the thicker ingredients that the watery part had separated from had settled on the bottom, and no matter how much kneading of the tube that I did, I could never get the ingredients to combine back together again. Very frustrating for how expensive this is. Won’t recommend unless you buy in person, nor will I repurchase online
