Excellent product - very tasty
An excellent product. Very tasty. Decent value for the money if you prize an excellent product. Makes a great addition to sparkling water. Straight from Great Britain.

European treat
I learned about this syrup when I was in Scotland and it’s been my Favorite ever since. I just throw a little bit in my water sometimes and go. If you over do it though it does get a little thick and the sweetness can be over powering

A Great Guiness Beer Drink Mixer!
I have to admit that we bought this so I could add it to my Guiness beer! I was introduced to this drink combination while in Ireland and Scotland. The bars there will top off a glass of Guiness with a couple shots of this juice and it is yummy! I am not a big beer drinker, especially not dark beers, but this combo I can drink, and did so pretty much daily (while on tour over there). When we got back home, we looked this up online to buy it (haven't found it available in any local stores) and now I buy Guiness beer as often as my husband buys his craft beers (well, almost as often, he does drink beer more than I do).

Ribena now has sucralose. And it tastes like it. Yuk.
If you grew up with Ribena, this is not it. UK introduced a soft drink sugar tax (addressing health/obesity) in 2019. Manufacturers now have to pay a levy on beverages that exceed a certain % of sugar, or reduce their products' sugar content to be in line with the new rules. In order to bring down the sugar % of Ribena (which was loaded with natural sugar from blackcurrants as well as added sugar) and avoid the levy, sucralose was used to replace some of the added sugar, cutting Ribena's sugar content from 10g to less than 4.5 per 100ml. Not all beverage makers replaced sugar in their drinks; Coca-Cola, for example, just pays the levy and keeps the sugar content where it was. People went nuts in the UK hoarding the classic Ribena and other drinks (Fanta, Lucozade, etc.) before the sugar tax went into effect, and I guess they were right to, because this recent stuff is gross (if you dislike sucralose). I personally can't stand the taste of sucralose. It's such a bad aftertaste to my palate, but every once in awhile I try something with it again just to see if I can stand it and fool my tastebuds. Nope. IF you don't mind the taste and aftertaste of sucralose, then maybe it's for you. If you hate it, then you're really gonna dislike this (trust me). I feel like sucralose "hides" better in bubbly drinks, but even trying adding this "new" Ribena to bubbly seltzer was gross and sucralose-y.

Very good tasting but overall cost per cup seems too high. OK for a try but wouldn't buy regularly at that price.
