I did a lot of research and decided to go with this one.
I have been concerned re air quality in our bedrooms and then this opened a can of worms with which purifier to go with. Save yourself some serious time and just read my comments below.I also considered Blueair Pure 411 and other models. Philips series 800 also. What the above struggle with is they don't cover all the bases needed to fully purify your air.Blueair uses technology which creates ozone which is really not a healthy option. Philips series 800 is a great purifier but struggles with smaller particles as it has no activated carbon in the filter. Activated carbon is needed for car fumes, VOC etc.Levoit has superb reviews everywhere you go, independent reviews on youtube. It cleans the air thoroughly, sleep mode is super quiet and nothing will compete with this model for bedrooms and individual rooms.

Capability is not as described.
When I bought this Levoit Core 300, I thought it would be sufficient to cover 40 sq. meters of floor area as advertised by the seller. However, when I later went to the manufacturer's website, it stated only 20 sq. meters of floor area, only half what was advertised. This is clearly dishonest. Covering an area of 20 sq. meters, it should purify all the air 5 times an hour. At 40 sq. meters, it would only do so 2.5 times an hour. For the price, I would have been better off getting 2 smaller purifiers as the Levoit Vista 200 will cover 15 sq. meters.

Wow. Thats one upgrade on previous generations
Wow. If you are upgrading from a previous levoit air (eg lv-h132) this is a serious step forward and for the price (got mine on sale) well worth it. Even though the specs say sound difference is minimal (from 25db quietest to 24db in latest model) it is no comparison. Maybe i got a duffer first time round (likely). Earlier model of mine had bit of a rattle in the fan from day one and iPhone will say its more like 40db at its quietest in real life. Oh well I thought. Now I know what i was missing. The latest is a super quiet soft whoosh on lowest setting. And it is swallowing up loads more air per second then earlier model! The "purification per decibel level" is the real metric and its a night and day difference. Plus the really annoyingly loud beep when you press any button is gone. Im sure my neighbours will appreciate that at night. Comes with the filter specialised for pet odours supposedly but when you read the specs the size of particles it filters includes mould spores etc. Makes me wonder really what the difference is with the new range of specialised 350 filters that target mould. Will they not get rid of pet odours just as well? Seems bit of a gimmick that one and who is really going to want to swap them regularly? What are pet owners with british wintery mould on windows supposed to do, choose one over the other? Nonetheless nice piece of hardware only slightly larger but so much better designed and the price per CADR/db is hard to beat. The more expensive bigger options from big brand names arent giving you more value on these fundamentals they are charging more for the air quality sensor "smart" addons. If you want that get a real air quality sensor with better stats and a better app that is more useful.

So much better than previous model
This new version is slightly bigger than the previous model, it’s heavier as well, but so much more powerful, you can tell it’s massively improved, and blowing out a lot more cleaner air, I have a dyson one in my living room which cost three times what this did and I prefer these, definitely will be buying a couple of extra ones for the flat, can’t fault it 👍🏻

Works really well
This is my first air purifier and until now was skeptical, I considered one for a long time after I purchased a 3d printer because i'm slightly concerned about PM2.5 in my house with a 3d printer working. When printing with ABS it is known to give of styrene fumes which are toxic, but leaving a window open is also not great because the cold breeze would cause it to warp. I've managed this up to now by keeping it in a seperate room with all the doors closed and using a webcam to monitor, still though the smell can get through the whole house. Since I got this purifier, I can leave it running on setting 2 in the same room and there is virtually no smell at all. It's possible to get a hint of it every now and then but i'm sure it is 95% better. When I'm not using the printer, I like to run it in the bedroom overnight because it circulates the air a little and makes it feel fresher. The difference between how fresh the room feels in the morning between this and a regular fan is night and day.The unit itself feels to be good quality, touch controls are easy to use and it even remembers the setting if you unplug it to move rooms.Noise - for me it's absolutely fine. Setting 3 is quite loud but seems to provide alot more airflow than setting 2. Setting 2 you can hear it, but the sound is not intrusive or annoying, just a pleasant white noise. Setting 1 and night are very quiet. I know some reviews say they are not but compared to a basic desk fan providing the same airflow I consider it to be on the near-silent end of the scale. I happily watch tv with it on setting 2 and forget it's running, but I am pretty chilled about background noises in general. The full RRP is quiet expensive I think, although it is cheaper than the competition. I think it's worth the money if you have a definate need.

Seems to work
Bought this as I was concerned at the level of PM2.5 particles in my home during the autumn and winter months when the atmosphere is polluted from wood burning stoves etc. Ive used it two or three times so far and each time significantly reduced the particle density in my lounge (about 11 ft x 20 ft) from around 12 to 4 in about 1 hour. The WHO recommends no higher than 10 on average over any given day. Ive only had it for a short time so Ill be measuring over the next few months to check it is still removing the particles. The reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is that it is slightly noisier than anticipated. Ive used it on the No.1 fan setting which you can easily hear even with the tv on - basically a background humming sound. The sleep/nightime setting is much quieter but that may only work at removing pollution if its on for quite a few hours.
