Impressive little radio.
Bought Feb '24 for £40.63 (Amazon warehouse deal, RRP at the time was over £60). A great little DAB plus radio, great sound and very good reception on all bands (London). Chose this model because of the brand, reviews and because the buttons are on the top, these small radios are light weight and to stop them moving sometimes requires two hands to be used, if the buttons are at the front. The display is a good size another plus is the radio remembers your choices even after being switched off at the mains. Only negative is the quick start guide which I found confusing. Best advice I can offer is to press the select button after making a choice and if possible go to the philips web site for better use instructions.

Compact Good Sound
Buttons a faff to use but sound goooood all functions work well just button panel is sleak but hitting the right button in a sleepy daze is about as easy as calming down a hept up goat.

Great for Nan
Needed a clock radio with preset buttons and easy to use interface for my 92 year old Nan to operate. I also wanted a front facing speaker and decent sound because her ears aren't as good as they were in the 1940's. A couple of the buttons are a bit fiddly still and changing some settings I had to do myself going through a menu system. But day to day operation is great, sound is great and she can change station and turn it on off / up and down herself without needing to ring me up for help!

Not for the bedside.
Good looking radio with decent sound given its small size. However it's crying out for design improvements. The on/off button is not in an obvious position and is undistinguishable among the array of all the other controls. The volume controls are also + and - buttons. Why on earth are simple rotary controls so rare?! The biggest bugbear is the brightness of the display which is uncontrollable making the radio unsuitable for use as a bedside radio alarm clock. The build quality seems good and initial set-up is simple despite the supposedly universally understandable (wordless) instruction leaflet supplied. As no good for the bedroom the radio is now in the bathroom so of no use as an alarm clock, thus saving on awkward button -pressing.

Good but not
Had to return this product. Simply because I’d purchased it as an alarm clock more than a radio. But there were too many buttons that weren’t clear of what they were. Thus making it hard to switch off alarm in the dark. There wasn’t enough clear instructions But the unit it’s self was well made

Great value radio
The buttons are quite small. Set up is easy and the sound is crystal clear. Perfect size for bedside table. The light is a bit bright even when dimmed but we just turn it towards the wall!

Nice looking but faulty.
Sadly a 1 star review as had to return this clock radio because it was faulty. The clock would automatically and sporadically loose time. Meaning it could not be relied upon as a radio alarm. Which kind of defeats its design. Granted this might be an isolated case, given the numbers Philips produce, so just bad luck we got a defective unit. Otherwise, the radio side of things seemed to work ok. The backlight was too bright if being critical and a lack of clear instructions and setup were other issues. It’s not easy to set up, the instructions are useless. Otherwise, the unit was nice looking, the sound that it produced was really pleasant and of decent quality. Had the clock worked without issue, we’d have kept it and given the radio alarm a 4 star review.
