Impressive well built tool
I purchased this bolt socket extractor set to remove an oil drain plug for my 2007 Honda Fit Sport that I felt the Midas franchise OVER torqued!As I was trying to change my my oil, I ended up stripping the size 14mm oil drain plug and was stuck with not knowing how to get this off. After watching just one Youtube video where a guy ironically with the same issue on the same model year car, he recommended the "PlatinumEdge" extractor tool to remove the bolt. So after ordering it on Amazon and receiving the shipment, I went on to try and remove the bolt. I followed the directions from the video and with a little muscle, i was able to tap it onto the head of the bolt to lock in place and proceeded to remove the bolt with a 3/8in socket wrench. Once I "cracked" the bolt, I was able to hand spin the bolt off from that point. Only problem was the socket was still locked onto the bolt. I used a vice grip to hold the socket in place to then use a screw driver narrow enough to tap the bolt out of the socket.If you are a DIY'er, this is a great set to have.**This set does not come with any socket wrench. You have to use your own 3/8 wrench which will fit on these sockets.

Works great for worn screw heads
I have a dodge grand caravan and could not remove the oil plug with traditional sockets. I removed it just fine with this set.

Best bolt remover spent 6 hours trying to remove one with no success had to order and with the first try the bolt open it’s very durable and function really well

Worth it!
Worked perfectly the first time. Had a nasty rounded out oil pan bolt that a friend of mine couldn’t get off for anything. Saw the reviews on this so I gave it a go and I’m glad I bought it.

Stripped oil drain bolt removal; Success!
These are absolutely legit. Had a stripped out oil drain bolt on a rider (briggs and stratton engine). Tapped the 1/2 inch on and used a breaker wrench and it released. Took a little "umph" but this kit was a dollar saver for sure. could not recommend enough.
