This did not work for me
It was too difficult for me to crimp the clamp l ended up using a Toyota SST to do the job

They worked great and easy to use. Had no issues and did the job with no problem.

They do not work.
The tips where they bite onto the clamp are too fat. And you cannot close the clamp properly. They do not work. I would like a refund these do not work. By the time I had the parts off of the car ordered and replaced, the window for return has closed not good, do not buy.

Good
For a home mechanic it's good....But if your expecting lifetime warranty and guarantee..., then go for a name brand..But for the price it's good..

Heavy duty, well made but lacking in design and functionality
After buying a similiarly priced, terribly made one from Oreilly's ,I gave this a shot..the other one was so cheaply made and didnt even compress the center tab...These are different, they Do compress the center point and are very rugged and solid..ur Not gonna break this tool!..I thought it was simply a matter of positioning the jaws of this tool over the nub on the clamp and then crimping... Not so! while it basically does operate correctly, there are some design flaws that make it Very hard to use and get a good crimp..I ruined 2 clamps trying it out...the tendency is for the jaws to compress unevenly the nub on the clamp so it will squeeze the left or right side unevenly ,deform the nub and make the clamp useless...the part the presses Down does not begin its action till the clamp has been already deformed from the pinchers squeezing it.....pity.... what this needed is even action on the jaws and the center compressor needs to start earlier so as to flatten it Before it gets squeezed too much and deformed..I was able to get 3 clamps installed with it by Slowly squeezing and watching carefully the sides of the nub for deformity, try to keep the squeeze Even till the center pusher compressed it.. it Did work but took alot of attention and some destroyed clamps.. Build wise this is as good as any expensive one though their function may be better..if ur cheap like me, this is Not a junk tool and its worth a shot but be prepared to mess up some clamps as u learn to work with its flaws...squeeze slow, watch carefully, once the center pusher pops out u can squeeze hard becuz at that point it will keep its shape

Well built not well engineered
Well built and very sturdy but not well engineered. I could not exert enough effort to compress boot clamp. I tried to us two 1/2 inch breaker bars but not enough room with transaxle assembly installed in car. Should have used the $15 to but stainless steel hose clamps. And that's what I ended up doing. May work well if you have transaxle on bench but not when you are working from under the vehicle.

Used Once. Poor Quality
Used this on a ram 1500 outer boot clamp and the tool could not fully clamp the band and ended up bending the tool. I straightened the tool in the vise but the metal is now weak and will not function the way it should. Recommend spending the extra money and getting a better quality one of you plan on doing more then 1 cv boot clamp.
