David Bowie Black Book

Great book chock full of facts I didn't know about David Bowie.

I'm a HUGE Bowie fan, and I bought this as a gift for another super huge fan. The book doesn't cover every stage of his career, as stated in the description. It ends (rather abruptly) around the time of the Glass Spider tour, so the book has nothing of the '90s and beyond. Nada! Even more disappointing, the photographs are poor quality. Maybe it was just a sub-par print run, but the photos aren't as crisp and the colors aren't as vivid and true as you'd expect for this kind of book. They look kind of washed out. Low-quality. I am super disappointed and am returning this to get my friend something else instead.

I have not finished the book yet, but I am enjoying the information in the book. I have zero issues with that.But...I do have issues and a warning dealing with the physical aspects of the book.The Kindle edition is not a regular Kindle book. At least not on the iPad and iPhone where I am reading it.It looks more like a scanned book, or even a PDF. You cannot change the font or the font size.A full size page fits on the iPad but the font is very small and you are required to zoom in to read.Trying to read on a small screen device would be very tedious, at least in my opinion.As I said, this does not take away from the content of the book itself, it might just make it very difficult or tediousfor some to read it.

The book arrived exactly as described. This is a must-have for your coffee table & an excellent tribute to David Bowie.

Llegó en un sobre de esos donde te entregan ropa, no muy bien cuidado y sin plástico sin nada. La verdad parece usado hasta marcas y rasguños tiene en la portada, se ve medio sucio. Lo compré para regalo de cumpleaños y pues ni modo y no hay más como para pedir otro y devolver éste. Así que con la pena se lo voy a regalar intentando envolver lo más bonito posible para recuperar un poco de la pena de entregarle algo tan.... así....

This was a present for my mother who absolutely loves David Bowie, she was thrilled with the book, it came in great condition and was more than I thought it would be. 5 stars

The book did meet the expectations. It is a classical Bowie photo book.
