What a great device. Easy to set up and operate. I wish I had known about this product two years ago. Highly recommend.

Awsome product

Not worth the effort in trying to archive. Sometimes it works other times the file is just corrupted. The times that it does work, the videos are glitchy with multiple temp freezes, studders, and such.Not reliable!

I picked this to test on my workstation to be used to input other devices into my PC via OBS. I use these devices to input consoles, laptops, mini computers and testing machines into my workstation without needing to change out my monitor cables. I also use this to capture output from these devices for reviews and other videos.I plugged this in and it worked out of the box on windows 10. No need for drivers or other installations. In OBS however the device struggled under 60fps by having color accuracy problems. I wish I could screenshot it to show what I mean but the colors didn't come out in the same way in my pictures or screenshots (at least to where I could convey this in a review).Works well enough if I am just recording and don't mind the reduction in color accuracy but it looks like it is using a lower chroma sub-sampling.Latency was worse than most other units on this device as it was over 100ms most of the time in 60fps.... switching to 30fps increased the latency over 100ms but it also fixed some of the issues with color..Overall I chose to not use this device due to the complications.

This box is intended as a pass through HDMI box sits between a cable box and TV. I hook it to my laptop instead. It records whatever is on the display screen. Make sure you turn up the audio signal to MAX on laptop as it affects the HDMI audio signal. Use a FAT32 USB 64GB stick as the NTFS mode does not work right as seems to lock up when I try to stop the recording. This box can record YouTUBE video, internet movie downloads or DVD's. When your movie starts press record. When finished just press STOP. You will have files in MP4 video that you can watch on your laptop. This box is a very useful tool. Glad I bought it.

Very simple to use. Has worked every time I have used it. Other devices that do the same thing that cost 10 times as much you can see on a monitor if you are recording and how much space is left on the harddrive. You can not on this device, you just trust that once you hit record it still is recording. File size is small, couple of GB per hour of use. Overall I am happy with it and would buy again. Price was excellent.

Worked for our purpose which was to record our video stream to a USB stick as a backup. We did format the USB sticks we use to NTFS and the recording worked well. Sometimes it was glitchy getting started, but we found that keeping it unplugged between uses helped with that problem. We only used this device once a week. After about 18 months it had a lot of trouble starting and trouble not being able to stop the recording unless we unplugged the box which caused us to lose the recording. Also, sometimes it just stopped randomly while recording even though there was plenty of room on the USB stick. This device should have lasted longer.

My only complaint is that I wish it would just record the entire program in one take. It doesn't pause it starts a new file every 17 to 18 minutes. It records crystal clear. You can't even tell it's a recording.
