Great replacement!
Directions could be a little clearer, however they work great and we well are happy we could get replacements! Price was reasonable also.

It works!
The red light on my old fan remote lit up and seemed to stop communicating with the fan, so I thought it was the battery. Weird model of battery order and replaced, but the remote still didn't work. I was extremely happy to have uncovered this remote after some internet sleuthing; our fan is a very cool-looking propeller design but you can only turn it on and off via the remote. (Yes, it is a terrible design but in our defense—VERY COOL-LOOKING.) Apparently it was manufactured by Hampton Bay under another brand name. Our original remote did not have the "reverse" button, but this newer model remote works perfectly.

Perfect Remote Replacement
I don’t often leave a review, but I just had to for this product! The description made it seem like it was the perfect replacement for my Hampton Bay ceiling fan remote. But Amazon stated this item was often returned. I took a chance, and I couldn’t be happier that I did! It took less than five minutes to set it up. I took the new battery from my old remote (I thought the battery was the issue), changed the code to match the old remote by following the included instructions, and voilà! I could turn the ceiling fan on and off, slow, moderate, or fast with just the touch of a button. Highly recommend!!

works right out of the box
I got this Hampton Bay compatible ceiling fan remote to replace a broken one. It worked perfectly without having to change any of the dip settings that are found inside the battery compartment. Stopped working properly after a year
Stopped working after one year. I changed the battery, it’s on the proper setting.. nothing happens. I’ll take out the battery and switch settings back and forth, it’ll work a couple times and then stops working again. The battery isn’t dead. The red light turns on every time I press a button.
