Don't waste your money.
If anything I feel like the fleas have gotten WORSE since I purchased this flea collar. She uncontrollably starts chewing and that didn't happen until this collar. She has raw/hot spots, and while she may have lost a lot of fur, she didn't lose her fleas!I've never had a problem with seresto collars but tried to save a couple dollars with these but basically threw my money away.I bought the collars in July, gave her a flea bath, brushed her, dried her, put on the collar. As I noticed the situation getting WORSE instead of better I decided maybe something had happened with the first collar and that I should move to the second. (This was the begining of September/end of August) I disposed of the first collar, treated her and the house and everything, and put on the second collar. Now, here we are in the first of October and my poor pup (she's 2, almost 3, not really a pup) and the situation is absolutely MISERABLE for my baby. I have her dressed in my kids clothes while her skin and fur get a nice saturating soak with treatment to heal from the flea bites and whatever chemical is proving toxic to my dog. It's absolutely awful. Raw and red patches, scabs, her skin is so dry and flaky and the fleas are ridiculous! I can't believe what a waste of time and money and my precious pups health this was. 😡For the record, she is a boxer/English Bull Dog. Maybe it didn't react well with her skin type but I will never purchase anything from this brand again.

Three month longevity but good bang for your buck!
I bought these two collars about three months ago to cut down on cost of flea and tick treatments (was using NexGuard). The collars are individually wrapped, which preserves the treatment and adds a very nice touch to the packaging (the outer being a sealed tin can). These were a much cheaper alternative to my veterinary medicine for him and I can say that I saved $90 on six months of medicine. This brings me to my next point. As for longevity, if your dog is a house pet, I could see these collars lasting six months a piece, but if you have more than one dog or they are outdoor dogs, these won't last as long. I live next door to four Pyrenees/Anatolian, two wolves and two American Staffordshire Terriers and one Mastiff. Being that my dog is an outdoor dog and the high population of ticks/fleas in the area, each collar has lasted three months. I am not complaining about this, as the product worked very well and the price makes it worth the investment, but the longevity if you are looking for these to last as long as advertised under similar circumstances to mine, I want you to know the practical longevity under such high use. You still will save money on flea and tick treatments for the six months that these will last under such use, but the choice is yours.Overall, I am extremely happy with this product. It's durability and price point make it well worth the investment. The product's scent will diminish as it is used more and more and it works even in the rain very efficiently. I will be ordering these collars again and hope that the manufacturer doesn't change its methods in making these except to improve the longevity of it in practical use.

Not a perfect deterrence
The collars did not fully protect my two dogs from tics. We found several latch onto both dogs under their legs and on the belly. We haven’t found any fleas as of yet. Not a perfect deterrence…

It smells SO bad!
I got it, packaging seemed fine by me, there are two collars individually wrapped in the tin with a plastic clam shell. My issue is: I can't vouche for how affective it is cause I can't stand the smell... it's a potent, chemical/pesticide smell about the collar. I've only opened one. I took it off my dog and tried letting it "air out" for about a month by keeping it in an exterior pocket of his dog bag (the pocket is not sealed, it just held the collar) and as soon as I pulled it out from between the fabric, it smelled still. I dont want to keep it on my dog for fear it'll cause some kind of reaction, and if it smells the pungent to me, I don't want to know what it's doing to him while around his neck.Fit is fine- easy to put on and cut. My dog is 20lbs. I just can't get over the nasty, unnatural smell of it. 2 stars because it showed up fine, was easy to adjust, and I cant judge efficacy because I dont leave it on the dog long term....
