These are perfect for absorption

My wound care specialist from the wound center suggested these to me to use on days that I don't go into the center or that someone doesn't come to the house to change my bandages. My wounds coverage must be changed daily. These Calcium Alginate 4"x4" are the perfect size, they absorb so much liquid keeping the fluid away from my open wounds. Most of the time the other brands that are used stick to my wounds and cause me pain while being removed. I love this brand of Dr. Med because it doesn't stick to my wounds when being removed. That is a huge plus.I ordered 2 boxes and they arrived 2 days after the order was placed.I will order more in a couple of days.I would definitely recommend Dr. Med Calcium Alginate 4"x4" wound patches.

it is very good for wound care

These bandages are much thinner than I was expecting especially compared to more expensive ones that are about 1/8" thick with honey on both sides. But the wound was just before healing and these bandages provided the benefit of honey for healing. I doubt they would be very absorbent. The very thin honey aginate sits on a paper(?) backing. They worked fine for us but was not what I was expecting. I you need an absorbent pad, this will probably disappoint and need to be covered with a telfa pad or cotton sponge.

I did apply large bandaids over the edges to keep them from rubbing off while I slept.

I was very happy to find this product. 2 different doctors gave me very poor information on how to take care of this horrible partial thickness burn. It was wet and sloughing and they said "just leave it open". How do you sleep comfortably with this on your arm? I did my own research and purchased these alginate bandages. I couldn't find them at any of the major pharmacy's.They arrived quickly and made life much more comfortable, less gross stuff on sheets and clothing. In follow up appointments, I was told that the burn was healing very well. I believe the seaweed miracle bandages really helped. That's my name for them.

It was very thin. They absorb well for how thin they are, but they certainly are not what I thought they would be. We need something that is super absorbent and this helped but did not do the job. If the leakage were less these would work, maybe.
