Anything but bone-crushing
In October, I hit a small button-buck in the spine, just above the shoulder with one of these "RAGE NC X-Treme Chisel Tip, Red, 100gr". I was using a 60lb bow at just 10 yards. He tried to duck and the arrow stopped dead in his back above the shoulder and FELL OUT after he ran about 100 yards. No penetration so only one blade was half-deployed and there was no blood trail. I was lucky enough to have another shot at this deer a couple of weeks later and finished the job with a fixed-blade broadhead. Unfortunately I lost nearly half his backstraps due to the festering wound from that first shot. These are a great idea in theory, but not in practice, in my personal experience. I'm sure they're amazing if you make a perfect shot, but they'll let you down if things don't go as planned.

BRUTAL AND EFFECTIVE!!!
Rage are the only broadheads I will use. The advantage that they have is that even if you put a marginal shot on your deer/elk/turkey, the HUGE cut the broadhead delivers dramatically increases your chances for a clean kill. Highly recommend. I only wish replacement blades were easier to find.

Won’t get through the shoulder
I’ve shot rage chisel tips for years. Wanted to try the NC extreme for the no collar option and large cutting diameter. The “chisel” tip on these are NOT the same as the tried and true rage chisel tip. These tips are round, not sharp, and do not break bone.I shot a doe at 20 yards, 60# bow, 28 inch draw, 550 grain arrow with 15% FOC. Caught shoulder and had less than 3 inches of penetration. I’ll be giving NAP a try for the rest of this 2021 season.

Best broadhead so far!
Killed two bucks with this broadhead last year. They both didn't go 20!
