I assume it works
I bought this because I had to replace some putty that had fallen out of one of my kitchen door windows. Never having 'puttied' before I resorted to the Internet for information, and found advice that a shellac sealer was suggested prior to applying the putty. I therefore removed as much loose putty as possible, cleaned up the wood and then applied this sealer. According to the instructions it's dry in only a few minutes so I was soon able to get on with the job.Whether I've done a good job or not remains to be seen. It looks OK but I haven't painted over it yet since it seems glaziers' putty can take a couple of months to cure. My only negative comment is that it would have been nice to be able to buy much smaller quantities, since I've only used a small fraction of the contents of the bottle, the job was so small.

Gives a great finish
Nice product; several coats of this made my sanded wood look French Polished.

Great!
We bought 6 Ik_a wardrobes. Given our last experience with that company's products, we decided to protect the flimsy cardboard on the back from damp. This little bottle was rolled on the back boards and the edges. It's been months and no mould buildup on the wardrobes--knock on pressed wood! Thank you!

Thin and watery
I found this to be a very thin sand and seal not what I was expecting. Which gives a very poor result

Easy to apply and the top is easier to open than the previous product I had
Arrived on time. Easy to apply. Used it on the egg cups and then finished with wax.

Easy to use and no VOCs
Bought this to seal the top of a mid century sideboard I am restoring. I applied using a lint free cloth with cotton wool to make a pad. Went on well and the first coat only raised the grain in a few tiny areas. Sanded those and applied a second coat. When I applied the finish it definitely required less than pieces I hadn’t sealed. Best of all is zero VOCs meant I could do this in the warmth of the house - the garage is just too cold in winter.
