A must have in any painter’s toolkit
I’m an artist who often works with acrylic latex paint (plus lots of other mediums) and after many long years of hard gained experience, I consider this a must have in my painting toolkit. I never used to prime or seal my work and would watch it disappear with time. Oil based sealants are a complete mess, and that’s the beauty of this water based sealant. It’s super easy to clean up, goes on beautifully on virtually any surface and can be applied in a variety of methods. Having multiple sheens is obvious but a super nice touch. I usually stick with satin or matte but high gloss certainly is beautiful and has its applications. In my most recent work, I painted some plates i upcycled, and this product just sealed all my hard work in and will protect it for years to come. Highly recommended!

Great finish and protection for hand painted wood.
It’s easy to use, however it is more liquid than the paints or other kind of varnish I’ve used before, so be careful when you apply it, it tends to drip if your brush or roll has a lot of the product. If it drips, clean it and reapply so It doesn’t leave any marks. It has a whitish color similar to water mixed with some milk. It may look white if you don’t apply it evenly, but when it dries it gives a soft look. You may need to wear a mask if strong odors bother you, open the windows to let fresh air in. It doesn’t take long to dry if you paint outside or have windows opened, probably around 20 minutes or so for the first coat. Once it’s dry, apply a second coat. We used the product as a top coat for my kitchen bench and a wood panel we added on the wall. The finish is satin, it looks clean and professional. What I love about it is that it protects the paint so it doesn’t chip, get scratch marks (my cat sits on the bench now) or get as dirty. Before we used it the bench, which I painted a pale gray, got dirty very easily and it was hard to clean it without damaging the paint. This product makes the surface easy to clean with a damp cloth so the bench looks always clean. I super recommend it!

Mixed feelings about this one..
This is my "go to" clear coat.. easy to use.. applys smoothly and is very forgiving of flaws.. I usually never have any issue with this product. This last time I used it, once dried, it turned a yellow tint when dried.. never had this happen before..

Great durability, non-yellowing
It’s a bit tricky to apply, and can run easily, but if you are careful, it does a great job of protecting, and doesn’t yellow. We used it on our wood cabinets. They were originally a honey oak, and we wanted an antique white. After sanding off the stain, cleaning, applying one coat of Kilz and three coats of the cabinet paint, we used this on top of the cabinets for durability. We applied one coat of this polycrylic, let it dry a few hours, lightly sanded that, and then applied one more coat. You cannot tell our cabinets didn’t come in this antique white. It looks stunning.

The Polycrylic Is White But Dries Clear
This is different than Miniwax polyurethane. This polycrylic is a white liquid that I used on luan plywood walls and I used a short nap roller. The problem with that is rolling it on caused bubbles, which I then had to use a brush to get rid of the bubbles. It wasn't difficult to do. Just one swipe over it remove the bubbles. As much as the coverage on bare wood, it covered as per the label. I put one coat on and waited 2 hours and it dried quickly. I lightly sanded it and than applied another coat. I was happy with the results.

Great For EPO Foam RC Aircraft
What's not to like about this product? It coats and cleans up easily, and it dries quickly. I use this as a top coat on EPO foam RC aircraft to protect the paint and decals from UV rays, and to harden the outer structure of the foam. Being water-based, it does not dissolve or otherwise harm EPO foam. Use it sparingly! A little bit goes a long way. To keep the bubbles out of your finish use light coats, and apply it slowly and evenly across the surfaces. I usually wait until the tackiness is gone before applying a second coat.
