Great Display
I ordered this item for use as the display in my homemade CNC machine.I am very happy with it.It is extremely easy to use and interfaces well with the Arduino.I was really happy to see that the colors look really good and aren't washed out. The included software for creating screens is great and I was able to build an interface in a lot shorter time than I normally would.I definitely recommend this to anyone who is needing a professional interface for their project.

Works well, but it should come with the software and cables needed
This TFT LCD display is cool and easy to use, if you are ever able to get it going. The display requires a 12V supply to power on, which it can receive through a wire terminal or through a DC jack. The DC jack method is the most convenient, however, it does not come with a cable for this (at least mine didn’t). Fortunately I had one that was the right size and 12V laying around, so I was able to use it, otherwise I would have had to rig up something to power it through the terminal block. Once you get it powered on there is a preloaded program that highlights all the main features and UI stuff you can do through the STONE UI Designer software. Now you will probably want to run your own program, and to do that you have to plug in the USB port of the display to your computer. There is probably some way to write your own code to display whatever you want, but I don’t know how to do that, I just used the STONE software. When I received this display it came with a fat stack of papers with manual information and test code, but somehow had no information about the STONE software. They may have added it by now, but the software was not on their website either, I had to email them and then they gave me the download information for it. When I was finally able to use the software it worked pretty well and make customizing the display pretty easy, though I haven’t done too much with it yet. When you want to upload the program to the screen you download the program file, and then you have to add it to the display like you are adding a file to a USB. To my knowledge the screen will automatically run the program folder called “default”, so you have to make sure the one you want to run is called that.

Excellent Five Inch LCD Touch Screen Controller w/ Software
I am impressed. I ordered this for a home Arduino project and was satisfied. It is simple to use and program even for beginners. Its excellent physical attributes can add professionalism, beauty, and functionality to any project. The 800 x 400 resolution is crystal clear. It reacts nicely to the touch the first time. This is undoubtedly high quality and is also highly functional. This is a good deal at the $98 price.

Excellent quality screen
Holy smokes, I've been looking for one of these forever and finally found one! It works amazing, super responsive for what it is, perfect for my Arduino setup. If you know what you're doing, these are like gold and you can do virtually whatever you want with them

Nice screen, can't wait to customize it and making a failsafe homebase pad
I wanted something to interface with my planned smart home upgrades, and this seems like it'll do the trick just fine. playing with different setting in the screen, I got a handle on how powerful this can be when paired with an old Raspberry Pi Zero W that I have and nothing to do with it. it'll basically be something that sends short codes to the pi, which will tell my smart home things to do, but in a controlled UI that leaves it simple for my wife to control.

cool screen, would be nice to know what all i could do with it but...
The instructions leave a little to be desired. I would like to see what other uses it has aside from industrial uses but the instructions don't show any.

More fun than watching a cat chase a laser.
The 5 Inch HMI Smart TFT LCD Display Module with Controller Board is a delight to use. This little gadget is like the Swiss Army knife of display modules. It’s got a 5-inch TFT LCD display that’s as bright and colorful as a peacock on a sunny day. The touch screen is responsive and smooth, making you feel like you’re caressing a cloud with your fingertips. The controller board is like the brain of this operation, working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly. It’s like the director of a Broadway show, coordinating all the actors (or in this case, pixels) to put on a spectacular performance. The included software is the cherry on top, allowing you to customize and control the display to your heart’s content. It’s like having your own personal butler, ready to cater to your every whim. But the real star of the show here is its compatibility with Arduino. This makes it perfect for all you DIY enthusiasts out there who love tinkering with electronics. It’s like having your own personal playground, where you can let your imagination run wild.In conclusion, this display module is a fantastic piece of kit. It’s versatile, reliable, and most importantly, fun to use. So whether you’re an industrial control guru or an Arduino aficionado, this module has got you covered. And remember, size isn’t everything. This 5-inch display might be small, but it sure packs a punch!

Pretty amazing
This is a top-notch display with a lot on offer. I have been using other display modules with Arduinos and rpis and wanted something a bit more high end. This definitely fits the bill and after a bit of time messing around with it and the included software, I was pretty impressed at the capabilities this offers after going through it all the documentation. However, the documentation is fairly brisk. One bizarre thing about the documentation is there is one booklet that is all just C code printed on the pages—no link to download, just an expectation that you will type it in, I guess? The GUI is perfectly capable and pretty simple to use. All said, this is an excellent HMI that I have some big plans for.
