BV-Tech 8 Port PoE Unmanaged Switch + 1 Ethernet Uplink – 150W – 802.3af – POE-SW801

Fantastic POE Switch. These are really quite simple and it is nice to have something simple work without problems. Follow up from POE Depot has been awesome. USE I am using this device to extend the access to my NVR as I cannot Easily run eight (8) POE wires to my NVR. So, I run the cameras to this device and home run the switch to my NVR. The one line home run goes through the route from hell; through the attic, along the roof line, back in the attic and down an interior wall. BENEFIT * This allows me to keep all of my cameras Isolated and firewalled OFF my main network. And, I have the switch securely and centrally located so that camera runs are minimal.

Great support. Best I've seen in long time. Uplink port was bad. Causes ip cameras to drop off and signal is not continous. Works fine when connect to other ports. This is my second switch with exact same problem. They had great support and immediately shipped me a working product. And it works great and price is great.

I bought this for my six 3MP IP Cameras and the speed was not fast enough for a smooth refresh rate. That being said, this switch has a very solid build, runs cool and should be great for POE phones and other applications where 10-15Mbps is enough. I replaced this with a gigabit model and my network/cameras performance is now perfect (pushing 27-30Mps contantly). If you have security cameras and want to run at 3MP or higher I recommend you go with gigabit speed and skip FE (10/100).

I hooked it up to my router and it is not connecting. There are 2 lights on the Ethernet plug in, a green light and an orange light. When it connects the light is suppose to be green and if it dose not connect it is orange. Well when connect it the light is always orange. I tried all the ports and the light is still orange. I can not connect the surveillance cameras because of the POE.

Died after 18months. Lousy.

Awesome switch, super easy to use. Bought a second one when a burst pipe took out my first one of these, fired right up and brought my cameras back online with zero issues. Nice POE Switch! Purchased this to power my surveillance cameras. With the uplink port was able to contain all the camera network traffic (seven cameras and my NVR) to a single device, while still providing a link to my network backbone so I can access the cameras remotely. The result is much faster and responsive network for my other systems.

VERY cheap/inexpensive, but the build quality and feel are actually pretty good. I've only had it a day, but I plugged in 8 PoE Phones (Yealink and Polycom) and they boot up perfectly and seem quite happy with this switch.

Funciona perfecto. 8 puertos PoE y uno más para el uplink. Lleva conectado desde el primer día y va genial. No disipa casi calor y la red funciona perfecta. Lo uso para access points PoE. Solo me molesta que tiene la alimentación por un lado y los puertos por otro. Para salas de datos y poner en rack es perfecto. Pero para uso doméstico no queda bien pues o ves los cables de datos o el de alimentación.

Solid little item that did what it said in the box . Would I buy another ? Yes! Is it good value for the cost ? Yes is it so cheap it’s almost free ? No is it the most expensive of that type of item ? No ! So if you need a poe switch , fast, that will cut the mustard this unit is a gem

Ce switch fait son travail 24/24 7/7 depuis plusieurs semaines. 5 cameras PoE lui sont connectées. Toutefois quelques semaines ne suffisent pas à juger du fonctionnement car j'utilisais un matériel similaire "de marque" qui m'a laché au bout de 8 mois. Les plus : rien à configurer et l'alimentation est intégrée au switch. Le (petit) moins : le cordon d'alimentation livré avec ce switch est américain, donc inutilisable sur le réseau français. Toutefois ce point est précisé dans la description de l'article.

Se posso dare un giudizio si tratta di un prodotto eccellente! Uno switch PoE a 48V con 8 porte, tutte PoE, dal prezzo così basso, non si trova da nessuna parte, nè in rete nè tantomeno in qualunque negozio. Non è managed, ma che volete, per questa cifra, fa assolutamente bene il suo dovere, per quanto mi riguarda ci ho collegato sotto 5 access point Zyxel NWA-1100 che funzionano egregiamente, assolutamente consigliato!!

Ein 8-Port-Switch, mit acht PoE-Ports... zu so einem günstigen Preis danach musste man lange suchen! Ich habe 6 PoE-Kameras an diesem Switch hängen und keinerlei Probleme. Der Switch ist unmanaged und bedarf daher keinerlei weiterer Kenntnisse. Ein wahrhaftes Schnäppchen! Bei anderen Switches müsste man schon wieder anfangen zu rechnen, ob die Leistung passt. Bei diesem Switch hier nicht. Aber Achtung! Der Switch wird mit Stecker für englische Steckdosen geliefert! Wer so ein Ding braucht hat aber sicher auch irgendwo ein passendes Kabel rumliegen. Würde ich ihn wieder kaufen? Ja.
