A Sign of Affection 3

SO AMAZINGLY GOOD!!! I loved loved loved it!!! I'm in a sea of feels which is no surprise because I knew I would be head over heels after reading. No not even AFTER, but DURING reading! I squealed, I laughed, I giggled. This volume did seem faster pace than the previous two volumes. I know I binge read this series pretty hard, but am wondering if that's because the size of this volume was slightly smaller then the others? Well, not the ONLY thing as oh my goodness! Itsuomi was full of surprises in this one that left me turning through pages quickly! (I already plan to reread it again here today because I flew through this.) The opening kicks off right where volume two ended and just swept me away in a romance that I have been hoping for since the first page of volume one! I'm really excited to see their future together! I continue to love the sign language part of this manga a lot! I love the thought the creators put into this because it is extremely powerful to read. There are subtle things that I wouldn't have even thought about, but makes me realize how I take certain forms of communication for granted. A great example of this that Yuki it's a lot harder to sign when she's holding hands. I never any thought of that! The art continues to be absolutely stunning! I just love the depth and beauty and the occasional humor because of facial expressions. Another fantastic and wonderful volume in this manga! I'm already desperate for the next volume!!

This is such an interesting story. Yuki was born deaf. Her whole life, many people acted/treated her different/special when they learned she couldn't hear. She never liked that. Then, she meets Itsuomi, and right off the bat, he treats her with respect, never makes her feel "different". He also goes to great lengths to learn sign language, so he can more easily converse with her. He was obviously smitten with her from the moment he saw her. She fell hard for him, too. They have a wonderful love growing between them. Itsuomi is so good at making Yuki feel loved. It makes her so happy. I want to say that the Mangka of this series is doing an absolutely splendid job of creating a love story involving a hearing-impaired person. The Mangaka is not pandering to the audience, no one's making a big deal about Yuki being deaf, everyone is being kind and understanding, and while the point of being deaf is conveyed, it's not a "Oh wow the gorgeous deaf girl meets prince charming, he sweeps her off her feet, they run off and get married, never have any RL issues, and live happily ever after in a castle in the sky". Well, parts of that are kind of happening, but not in a demeaning, condescending, or ridiculous way. Yuki being deaf, and the challenges she endures are being shown with grace and courage. The Mangaka doesn't try to make Yuki's deafness the main point of this story. No, this is a true love story, where two wonderful people meet, begin to get to know each other, and begin to fall in love. Yuki being deaf is just a byline. An extra topping on the pizza, extra zest in the dressing, you get my point. This wonderful story focuses on the love that has began to grow between Yuki and Itsuomi. I want to applaud the Mangaka for doing such an incredible amount of research, to not only correctly and properly show the signing, but to also open a door for us to be able to see the day-to-day life of a hearing-impaired college student with dignity and kindness.

A beautiful story and a book with good quality.

This was such a sweet and short volume but we finally got to see them interact as a couple and even their first date together. I can’t wait for more sweetness and love ahead of us in the next few volumes!

Why can’t I find a guy like him.. travel the whole but is so humble and relaxed, and opened about himself. So amazing and she is the best woman even .. so honest and put out good vibes 😂🥰😁🔥

I just received a sign of affection vol. 3+4. The delivery man was rough with my package and now the sides are slightly damaged. Which makes me sad, because I love keeping my manga's neat and undamaged (just for the looks of them, because I like displaying them). The manga itself is my absolute favorite! I really enjoy the story, it's not like any other manga. Some of the pages make me so warm inside and makes my heart leap. I absolutely love the covers aswell, the soft colours fit the manga really well.
