This item is awesome. I just recently bought some Milwaukee tools. And then I found a deal at rural king for a Milwaukee leaf blower. For cheap. But it was tool only. I have only one milw battery. So I bought this adapter for some DeWalt batteries I had . I have a bunch. And this adapter allowed me to use those on all my Milwaukee tools. Wth. Now I have like six batteries that. Work on all my tools. That what I call a budget solution

Alows me to use what I already have.
A friend gave me an M18 oscillating tool, knowing I used Milwaukee and Dewalt. But he didn't know the only Milwaukee I own is M12. Ordered this to use my dewalt batteries with the tool, and it works great!Cons - makes the tool slightly longer, but not much.Pros - allows me to use what I already have instead of buying the most expensive part of any power tool, the batteries and charger.Saw some reviews that it didn't hold onto the tool very well. But after a few weeks of use, thankfully I have not had that issue. I have a wood shop and am not a contractor so while I do use it weekly, it isn't used as hard as some might.

Works but not with the M18 Milwaukee Vacum.....
I bought adapter cuz I'm on the Dewalt platform and bought a Milwaukee vacum cuz it was a deal on it and saw reviews that there a bit better than the Dewalt vacum.... the adapter fits the batteries fine no issue there I used a 6ah battery for reference, I plug it into the vacum battery compartment and did not seat in there good.. then I used a 2ah smaller battery that was fine no issue....... so I guess it depends on the tool if it has it's own enclosed battery compartment for the vacum it did not work, it should work fine with various other tools impact drivers, drills, Sawzall etc. This is not a negative review at all just insight if ur buying this for the "Milwaukee M18 vacum" it won't work with in my case the 6 amp or bigger batteries

Broke after a 1’ drop. Not rated for construction
It works as intended, however as someone who is a carpenter for a living it needs to have some kind of durability. I used this thing for 1 day. Dropped it off a stack of OSB, which was about 1’ off the ground and the thing snapped. You can’t have a tool that can’t sustain a 1’ drop. Do not buy if you’re in the trades it’s very cheaply made. I’m going to be buying another brand that’s a little more expensive to see if there’s a difference.
