Great seed starters
Just the right size for starting plants before putting them in pots or ground. Great for determining whether a plant is viable or not

Probably Unnecessary Product If You Start Your Seeds With 50 mm Pellets
Pros: Compostable.Cons:1. Size is a little small. For example, I use a 50 mm coir pellet to start my seedlings. I intended to transfer the seedlings to these compostable pots getting my plant to grow with a better root system and a week weeks ahead. I realized these are not much larger than my seed starting pellets.2. The seedlings dry out faster in these when compared to a reusable plastic planter. My 3 inch tomato seedings need daily watering / sometimes twice a day if I leave them outside.3. When you we the filled planter the walls become very soft and they are mishappen they are wet - the walls become very soft and they are difficult to handle. Two have torn already. I have purchased herbs and vegetable plants from big box stores sold in these peat pots - however they were round (which seemed more stable / rigid) and they also had a ring of plastic around the top which helped with stability.4. Mold grows quickly on the outside of these planters. I don't know if this will impact plant growth.End assessment: I will not likely purchase again because the 50 mm pellets allow for so much more root growth - making these unnecessary.

they worked fine for starting seeds.
They are narrower at the bottom than the top and tend to tip over. I've started seeds in them, so they will be replanted in the garden. they tend to burst after awhile, but that is good that they will decompose.

Better than round ones.
Hard to get apart but sturdy -and they hold more dirt than the round kind and pack together better as well. Great size for moving seedlings to before the actual planting. I would/will buy these again.

Don't last long but good price.
These pots were cheap and worked well initially, but after a couple weeks started to mold. I have not had this issue with other pots (I usually use Jiffy peat pots). The pots also started growing mushrooms for some reason? I don't think the issue was my soil because I used the same soil for all my plants and only the plants in these peat pots are growing mushrooms. That said, good for the price if you don't need them to last long.

A little too sturdy
These were fine but in our sandy dry soil were a bit too durable to break down easily.

Exactly as described; perfect for starting seedlings.
I wanted to be able to start things like head radicchio or Tom Thumb head lettuce in a pot that could be planted versus something to be separated and transplanted. These will be perfect for that and are very reasonably priced per item.
