I purchased this as a back-up to a bottle of rosehip oil that I am going through a bit faster than I had anticipated. I received this product at a reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I was pleased to note that it is a pure oil and organically sourced. The oil is smooth and light has a rather golden color--I also don't detect any scent (it isn't supposed to smell like roses, but is often described as having a rather woody type of fragrance). I find that it sinks into my skin easily and very rapidly--one of the reasons I really like this type of oil for when I am stressed for time (apply a few drops and I'm ready to go a few minutes later; when I'm going to be home and want a heavier application for my dry skin, I might use a dime-sized dollop instead of just a few drops, and while my skin feels smooth and dry after a few minutes, it does take about 20 or 30 minutes for the shiny appearance of my skin to totally disappear). I find this works very well in my hair--I use argan oil on the weekends, but sometimes I like to use a lighter oil in between those treatments, and this oil doesn't weigh my hair down at all. I like the plastic bottle--so light! and I can feel okay about having this in my bathroom where I am less likely to forget to use it, but without worrying about it falling and breaking. I also like the plastic insert under the cap to help prevent leaking (although I agree with other reviewers that it might be a bit difficult to remove the first time). The dropper is glass & has a slightly expanded bulb at the end, which I also like--no drip/no mess application.

I really hate to give something a poorer review. Had I received this first and never had another rosehip oil in my house, I would have been none the wiser. But I am, and I do. I have a rosehip oil by Radha that I LOVE. Oh wow, I am in love with that oil! When I had a chance to buy this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review, I thought it wouldn't hurt, because I wanted to give my friend some too.What I noticed right off is the color, it is near clear. Rosehip oil should not be clear. Oils can lose their depth of color as they oxidize. A good Rosehip oil, should be a vibrant orange – which indicates the presence of lots of skin-protecting carotenoids! My Radha oil is orangey. I attached a picture to show the comparison.The Bodybasic oil doesn't smell rancid, but it does not look as nutrient packed as other oils, so if I was to buy some again, this would not be in the running. This really is a shame. I will keep it, because I will mix it with other oils for soap making and other things, but I cannot recommend this as a facial oil, which is what I use the Radha for. It seems with the clearer color, one would not be getting all the skin benefits.

I am loving this oil. I got it specifically to help thin out my cream contour makeup palettes, and it has worked like a charm. Doesn't leave a greasy coating on your skin, and blends nicely. I have also started using it in my skincare regime.

I use this as a facial oil and also mix it into my body lotion in the dry months. Keeps my skin feeling soft and hydrated without oiliness
