Great sound and longevity
Elixir continues to improve quality--they last forever and sound the same even after many months --amazing. Put these on an average guitar and the sound improvement is 50%. Get the 80/20s with the thin coating--you can't even tell they are coated strings--so bright with long sustain.

Great strings
These have become my go to set for acoustic. They last a long time and have a well rounded tone. Play bluegrass and country sou d good in spruce top and mahogany top guitars.

Broke the first string right out of the box. Barley put any tention on it and it snapped. I think it was possibly just a bad string but I still like these strings

Great for people with sweaty hands
I have very sweaty hands which really run through a pack of strings in less than 2weeks depending on how often I play. I was using Martin's coated strings for awhile but I decided to give these a try and I'm very impressed. I swapped the strings 2024 June and it's still doing good without any rusting (currently January 2025). I know many of you guys are wondering why I haven't swapped my strings in so long and it's because I didn't feel the need to. I'm not a professional musician, nor do I perform in front of people. As long as it doesn't sound terrible, get out of tune often, or etc. I don't really change it.I usually play for maybe 15-30minutes every so often and I wipe down my strings after every use. I've done these for Martin's coated strings and they max lasted me maybe 1.5months before I started noticing rust here and there. This one, it doesn't get rusty and I bought it for less than 20 bucks. To me, that's a lot of value to get out of consumable goods. Yes, the tone isn't as great as uncoated strings, nor is it as great as when I first exchanged it. Honestly though, for a person like me, who does play the guitar just as a hobby, it's more than enough.

The Best acoustic guitar strings for the Money!
The Extra Light acoustic guitar strings by Elixir are easier on the fingertips, easier to bend, and hold up well. Do you sacrifice some intonation by going down two sizes from the original 12s that came on the guitar? probably. My daughter prefers these because she has small hands and with two young boys and a hard-working husband, she doesn't get that hour a day practice time like she used to. Very happy that Elixir Nanoweb coated acoustic guitar strings are available in Extra Lights and last!
