Great lumbar support
This is the best product I’ve found to support my lower back on planes, beach lounge chairs, and most any other chair with no lumbar support. I rake it on every trip - was great on 20 hour trip to Thailand. Landed with no back pain.

Excellent Product
Very few chairs provide really useful lumbar support, including those that seem to. I have a fancy office desk chair with adjustable lumbar support but (1) it doesn't extend forward enough to be useful, and (2) it isn't padded enough, so it's uncomfortable. The result is that I slump and my lower back aches. The McKenzie Super Roll Lumbar Roll does what a well-designed chair ought to do: it pushes right up against the lower back, providing firm, comfortable support and encouraging proper back position. I can position it where I want it using an adjustable elastic belt that encircles the chair back, and it stays there. (It also allows you to stick it to the chair with a velcro strip, but I haven't used that, since my chair is leather.) It's large enough to push against the lumbar region, but isn't as big as some other products that don't allow my upper back to comfortably rest against the seat back. It's well-designed and well made; the foam is firm and doesn't squash up easily. I recommend it for anyone with lower back problems who has to sit a lot.

Makes some awful chairs less awful
I have a herniated disc in my lumbar spine that's being very pesky. It might come down to surgery for me. The super roll was recommended to me by my physical therapist. I use it the most at home at the kitchen table or at my desk, in the car, at church, and in some restaurants. For reference, I am 31 years old and before my back injury, a fairly active person. This roll is most effective in the car, where I think a lot of seats are designed for slouching.Sometimes if the chair you're using is an odd shape, this will be hard to use. I've found the strap that it comes with to be hard to tighten easily and more trouble than it's worth. I pretty much just carry the pad around by itself. It won't solve your back pain, but it will make some uncomfortable situations better. It does force you into better posture. The instructions note that it might seem uncomfortable at first, but that you should stick with it. This is true! Don't give up or think you've been had if at first the positions are odd. It pretty much forces you into better posture and over time that posture will become more familiar and therefore comfortable. The velcro on the back of the pad is the scratchy side of velcro, so if you're using it without the strap, make sure you don't snag a nice chair. If the chair isn't too fancy and has a little cloth, this will help hold it in place a little if, like me, you aren't using the strap. Good luck!

best lumbar support out there
Hands down the best lumbar support I have ever tried. I had the original McKenzie roll. It was recommended by my doctor and physical therapist I went to after back surgery. The original roll was actually a roll and round. I would always have to squeeze it and put it in place while I was leaning back into it. This is a semi-circle and much easier to get into place. It is a lot more firm than the original, which works great for my back. The strap seems a lot better. I have only had it a couple months, but the strap on the original roll I have in my car stretched out in a matter of weeks.I use this in the office. I have a "lumbar support" chair from our ergonomic team. The chair is 10 times better than the normal chair, but I still was looking for more. The contour to my chair makes the Velcro not make good contact and thus fall off at least once a day. The strap solves that problem.I had an L5-S1 lumbar surgery over ten years ago, so I think I am very critical of these kinds of products.

Mixed review
I really like the comfort & support of the McKenzie Super Roll Lumbar Roll. The firmness is just right. The fabric is very nice. The one feature I don't like is the way it does, or doesn't, attach to some of the chairs/seats I need to use it with. As advertised, the straps are adjustable & removable, but I've had difficulty with securely attaching it to the driver's seat in my car & my chair at work. The straps don't seem to hold it in place. If I get up or lean forward too much, it slips. My job requires a lot of getting up & moving around an office. Repositioning the cushion got old really quickly. I don't use it as much as I would like.

Really really works
This is a life saver if you have back problems causing pain. I have several, one for each chair I use frequently.

great for petite people
Ordered for a petite friend who is very happy with the shape and density of the cushion. I was impressed by the quality of construction msyelf. Any lumbar support that is not inflatable and is at least medium-density firmenss is, IMHO, miles better than the inflatable options which don't provide real support.
