Versatile, easy to use, and good quality
The two plugs arrived very quickly and safely packed in their nice little box. These plugs are so handy for so many applications. I use one of mine to control our central heating remotely and conveniently and the other plug to control a floor lamp in our front room for times when we are out of the house or on holiday.The plugs were very easy to setup and configure. You first need to download the Teckin app on your mobile or tablet (or both) and register your email address. Each plug needs to be configured separately. The process is very quick and simple to perform and is explained both in the accompanying booklet and in the app itself. I used the app (not the booklet) and found it more than adequate. The process is very well explained and even provides an alternative method in the unlikely event of encountering a problem. The app also provides checks and things to watch out for at each stage. In other words, you can't go wrong.Once the plugs are configured they can be very easily and separately controlled from within the app. Each plug can be manually controlled or fully automated within their own schedule. With the schedule you can setup what day and what time the plug switches on and off as shown in my attached photo. You can also setup a timer for each plug so that it remains on (or off) for a preset period of time if required.I am extremely pleased with the versatility, simplicity and quality of these plugs and recommend them.

Very good smart plug
Purchased this recently after having bought a smart plugs of the same brand previously. These are great value - they're solid and sturdy and small. They easily fit into my cable management box which I now use to house my, often messy, cables and extension plugs. Also, they don't look out of place directly on a plug socket so I am now starting to place them everywhere in the house in order to fully automate the devices which we would like to control by app when away from the home or by voice when at home. I like their new look too... more curvaceous and in a nice ivory colour. The size of them also makes them ideal for fitting onto extension plugs side-by-side, you will just need to check the distance between the plugs before purchasing that just to be sure.Integration with the recommended app is simple. Plug in the smartplug and pair it up with the (excellent) Smart Life accompanying app. This will allow you to be able to control the turning on/off the plugs from your mobile, set up schedules and timers, etc... Going a step further, add the Smart Life "skill" to the Alexa app, which will allow Alexa to be able to see the device and effectively allow you to voice control it, which is what I have done. I can now voice control my smart plugs and other devices via my Amazon Show device. The great thing about Smart Life is that it is used by so many IoT (smart) devices. I have plugs of different brands, ceiling lights, LED strip lights and bulbs all on that app. So, schedules can be set, timers, automated settings, etc...All in all, these are a great set of plugs and I will look to buy more as I continue on my quest to fully automate my house!

Great Product Simple to install
Have used this product before but needed another couple. This is the newer model and is square where before I had the round ones. (Round are available). Was concerned the square ones would have an issue with switched sockets but the design handles this perfectly . Round ones touch the switch ever so slightly but work perfectly fine. The install advises to download the teckin app but as I had already used smart home with my previous plugs I used this again. Instructions for both apps are almost identical. I use Amazon Alexa to control my devices so I only need the app to setup the device on my network and then alexa does the rest. Remember to use only 2.8Mhz when installing but the instructions clearly highlight this. I use these plugs mainly for lights and have then setup in groups so Alexa can switch on individual lights or the whole downstairs with one command. I also use this to control my skyq box. This makes life simple if you have to power cycle this box. (Which is always the first port of call to rectify sky issues. Saves going behind the TV to unplug the offending sky. Also use the timer feature on one socket which is handy for our top landing. Another advantage is I have two in my garage. Comes in handy at Christmas for controlling the Christmas lights without going outside to the garage. (Either by timer or alexa or both). Another useful + is when I need to charge lawnmower batteries in the garage. To improve battery life it is better to charge after they have cooled down after use. Just stick them in the charger then later that day get alexa to switch on plug controlling charger and a few hours later get alexa to switch of charger. All in all excellent plugs and I am sure they have many more uses and features that I have not yet used
