Good stuff
I mean it's mxr. You know is built like a tank and no extra noise.. definitely recommend.. I know you can get a cheep one for half the price, but you also get half the quality..

Seems to work better with line level devices.
Originally purchased to split two separate amp inputs from my wireless. This unit wasn't ideal for that. Very noisy. Works great for switching between preamps to a power amp or interface. I think that is what the intended purpose of it is.

Great Value, consistent output, no popping when switching between channels.
Perfect for splitting the signal from pedal board too a couple of heads to run both simultaneously or individually without deteriorating signal quality or changing output levels to the heads, can also be used to loop multiple FX loops. Haven't noticed any added noise either when just playing through amps and cabs, no popping either. Overall great value and more than satisfied with it, and gives you a lot more tonal options.

Had for a year, then channel B crapped out
Good pedal for awhile then out of nowhere, after sitting in my home studio for a year, the b channel became unusable. Loud siren like noise would happen when plugged into it and an amp. Now I can’t even use it. Unfortunate as mxr is a reputable brand, but now I’m suspect to buy any other pedal from them.

Does its job without issue.
I use this to switch between a dirty amp (Blackstar) and a clean amp (Fender Deluxe) and sometimes to blend the signals. Does well playing both, no volume drop in either speaker when playing both. No pop when switching them on off. Perfect and simple.

Big Click...
I am no expert. I do appreciate the MXR loop as well as the A/B (MXR M196 A/B Box) I've purchased recent. They do the job, feel solid and do their intended task... but they sure do have a loud "clicking" sound when the button(s) is pressed. No big deal I guess... but when switching between quieter points as a solo guitar/ singer I might say it is a little bit of an attention getter... thus the four stars.

Great splitter
This was not the splitter for my very particular needs, but is a great splitter for 99.9% of anyone who needs one.

Noise.
Pedal seems to be constructed well. Adds way to much noise into the amp. Definitely won’t work for the serious guitarist.
