Where has this been all my life??? Tied for most used appliance in my kitchen!
After our first random air fryer purchase up and died on us, it was time to search for a new one. When we bought our first one, there were less options and we just went with one that we had used in the workplace. Surprisingly, that air fryer lasted us about 8 years so there are no complaints considering the price we paid at the time and that it was a no name one. Now that air fryers have been around a lot longer and become a more common kitchen appliance, I wanted to find something that would fit more with our cooking needs.Enter this Ninja air fryer. I'll admit, in the beginning I had some misgivings about the brand in general as I own no other Ninja products but I know many who do. I opted to do lots of research so that this next air fryer would be the perfect kitchen companion for us. After reading through many actual kitchen tests and top ten lists and comparing all the pros and cons against what we needed...we chose this Ninja model. Now even after comparing the dimensions to our old air fryer, it still didn't prepare me for the massiveness of this beast and that is a good thing. Many of the top rated lists clearly state that this is a larger unit, good for parties and large families. I expected it but was still surprised (in a good way) by the size of this. The big thing we wanted was capacity to run multiple racks at once and be able to monitor the cooking process. This Ninja air fryer is truly like a mini convection oven with extra bells and whistles. After playing around with this and testing out different functions -- I am left wondering how we didn't realize that this was out there and an option. It makes it seem like we were slumming it with our last air fryer. There are so many things that I love about this. The option to turn the inner light on/off at will (no more using a flashlight to check your cooking). The true fan that will make circulating the heat way more efficient (no more needing to turn or rotate food). The ability to change time or temperature in the middle of cooking WITHOUT it resetting the whole thing-so I love being able to add another minute or turn up or down the temps without it starting all over again. The fact that there is a pan/basket/grill accessory for every cooking need you might need (I also bought an extra wire basket as that is the the one we use the most). The large glass front that makes viewing your food super easy so you can easily gauge whether you need more time or less time...all without having to open it. The ease of choosing functions and the easy user interface that makes temp and time choice a no brainer for anyone to use--perfect.The only thing I was not expecting is the sound when this is in use. Yes, it is louder than our last but I actually prefer that for the sole reason that I can hear if this air fryer is still cooking even if I'm in the next room. Now, it's not like I hear it from down the hall or anything but the adjacent rooms can hear this and now we joke that an airplane is taking off whenever we use this. It's not like you are sleeping when you use this so the noise thing is not a deal breaker in any way for me.This air fryer has found it's way to the top 2 appliances used in our household and I could not imagine being without our Vitamix blender OR this air fryer...we use both daily. The large size makes cooking a lot quicker, a word on that--if you do not need the larger size and instead want speed, opt for a smaller unit as this is bigger it takes more time to heat and cook BUT it will still be faster than using a regular sized oven. Everything that we have cooked in this so far has been easy to do and cooked well. The accessories are easy to obtain from Ninja or Amazon and reasonably priced. I look forward to a long and healthy relationship with this Ninja air fryer!

I'm loving this oven!
I've been using a refurbished version of this oven for the last 9 months and it's by far my most used appliance in the kitchen. I use it to air fry, bake and toast mostly. Have only used the air roaster a handful of times, so I'm not sure how different it is from air frying. As a vegetarian, I can attest that it does an amazing job with potatoes and vegetables and reheating oatmeal, cooking tofu, roasting nuts, cooking pizzas and pretty much anything you want to cook. It is also huge and works really well for cooking things on multiple racks at the same time. It's replaced a lot of the need to use my full size oven which also saves on electricity. The only con might be that the fan is loud, especially on the air fry function, but it's no biggie for this household.

Meal preppers, rejoice!
This is the single best addition to my kitchen. Zero hyperbole. I meal prep regularly, and this thing can handle 6 pounds of chicken thighs like a champ. There is so much space to cook anything and the quality is always consistent. I will admit, it is not perfect. The front of the oven tends to not have as even of heat distribution, but this can be pretty easily remedied if you rotate half way through for long cooks. I have been through 4 air fryers at this point (this is number 5) and it checks all of the boxes.

You wont regret it!
I have an expensive Samsung oven and it just doesn't work that well for some reason so I decided to get one of these. I could not be more pleased with the quality of the food that comes out. Super easy to use and I do not have to worry about uneven cooking. No more cold spots in the middle of frozen pizza. This is an A+ device. Get One!!!

Good, but ...
This is a LARGE unit that looks really nice. I went back and forth between this one and the most popular Cuisinart one which I used TO DEATH before buying this one. I went with this one because I wanted more space on the inside of the oven and I liked the look more. The Cuisinart is not even the slightest bit sleek looking and it sat front and center in my kitchen. With all the positive reviews for this Ninja, I took a chance. When it arrived it was bigger than what I wanted. Yes, I measured, but it's presence was much more pronounced even though it wasn't that much bigger. Fortunately, it's nice looking, but ... damn did that little bit of more make a difference.Down to brass tax ... the thing that was HEAVEN about the Cuisinart was that it cut my cooking time in HALF. This is really important to me. With the Ninja, I might as well have been using a regular oven in terms of how long it took to make anything. YES, you are skipping the preheat time, but compared to the Cuisinart, this took TWICE AS LONG to cook or air fry anything. That is SIGNIFICANT.That said, if you wait patiently, it cooks things perfectly. The Cuisinart tended to run hot and if you weren't careful you could burn something. I adjusted every temperature on the Cuisinart back 25-degrees and had to watch things carefully, but not with the Ninja. It will eventually cook your food to a golden brown, or whatever. I believe when I traded up for more space on the inside it just added the cook time on because there's too much room for the oven to heat quickly. Total bummer. Not worth the trade for my needs. This is also important: When you use the air fry function on this Ninja machine, it literally sounds like a small airplane is taking off in your kitchen THE ENTIRE TIME IT'S RUNNING. It is incredibly annoying. I cannot undersell this point. Good luck having a conversation with that thing running.I love that the Ninja controls are on the handle and are touch. It seems like it would cause problems, but it doesn't. This is probably the most awesome part of it's design. It is sleek and it is so easy to use.The Ninja is way easier to clean than the Cuisinart. Way.If the Ninja and the Cuisinart had a baby, I would buy it. When I need a new one, I will look for that. If I don't find it, I will go back to the Cuisinart so I can cut my cook time in half and hear myself think. Also, an odd bonus about the Cuisinart. It was all stainless steel. My dog pulled it off the counter over a dozen times and it never broke or looked dinged up or anything. It was incredible. If the dog dragged the Ninja off the counter it would be toast with the glass front (unless it's special glass?). And, with the Ninja's door handle being bigger and closer to the edge of the countertop, this is a real hazard that I had to create a workaround for -- dog life.
