As a wedding DJ who has been using Uplighting for the last 12 years, I know how Uplighting can make a big difference in the way a room or venue looks during a reception. I've owned powered/plug-in style Uplights, but have always wanted some battery-powered lights. Some venues have limited plug-ins or the plug-ins aren't located in the area where you want to put Uplights so you either have to run extension cords or just not put lights there. However, these lights are a game changer!!The lights take about 2 hours to charge and last about 6 hours. I've tested them and really like what I've seen. Each light comes with a remote, but the remotes work for all the lights so you can change them all with just one remote. They are bright and have a variety of color options, plus flash, pulse, sound, etc. The product dimensions mentioned in the description aren't accurate. They are about 7 inches in diameter, so they are a nice sized light and they produce a nice bright light!Since they come with a bracket and have a sound option to flash to the beat of the music, you could make these into a super affordable, battery-powered light show, as well!I wish the battery lasted longer than 6 hours, but if timed out correctly, these will work at most receptions, plus you can plug them in to get the light back on should the battery run out. At the time of my purchase, they ran about $55 a piece, which is decent price for them. I've already ordered more, too!If you're looking to add some Uplighting to your setup, venue, or just want some lights that you can run at an event without all the extra cords, give these a try!

The media could not be loaded. **UPDATE** The manufacturer contacted me and has sent replacements for two of the units. They arrived in good condition. I have run them through a full charge and discharge cycle, and they work great.These lights are bright and have a broad range of colors and functionality. Tested on pulse setting and they lasted well over 10 hrs on battery. I do recommend them.These lights arrived in smaller boxes that were simply taped together. As I was unpacking the lights, I immediately noticed that two had broken pieces inside the unit that were rattling around. I plugged in all the lights and charged them all until the charging light turned green. One until never turned green. I then turned all units on the full LED (white) setting to time how long they lasted. The until that did not show a full charge with a "green" charge light only lasted 1.5 hours. I'm a mobile D.J. and I wanted to try these battery-operated lights as they were on sale. I originally bought 4 of these lights. I liked them so much that I bought an additional 4. I use these at all of my events. They are super easy to set up and use by remote, DMX, or master-slave. I have used them with a wireless DMX controller and wireless DMX in master-slave Mode and they work great. However, it's unnecessary for most functions as the remote works really well and has a great range. In most venues, if I can see the light I can change the function. These lights are very bright. They will show through ambient lighting. I have included a picture from an event I did a last week. This shows only 4 of my lights and you can see how much of this room I can cover with colored light. It changes the entire mood of the room. Once the party gets going, I use the remote to switch the lights into sound mode and they will dance to the music. It's a nice effect to go along with your moving head lights and other effect lights. So far the battery has made it through a 5-hour event when I only have them blink for dancing. I'm not sure how long they will last if they are dancing the entire time. However, they are worth the money no matter how you add it up. I'm planning on purchasing 8 more in the near future. They are just that handy! I own other U'King lights and I have been satisfied with them all. Stop thinking and buy a couple. I bet you buy more!*Update*I ordered 4 more of these lights. When they arrived they were obviously used. I didn't even bother testing them as they shown wear and tear and I wouldn't have any idea what there issues were until I had a chance to try them out. I sent them back for a refund. I'll order them again to see what I get. I'll update my post when I get those.*Update*I did purchase 8 additional lights and I received another surprise. They upgraded them! They actually improved the quality. The battery indicator is now a 4 light power meter. The old ones just turned from red to green when fully charged. The upgraded version allows you gage how much power is remaining. This is super useful. Also, the power switch is now recessed. I had issues with the older version turning on when transporting them as they move around in your bag as the power switch protruded from the back of the unit. They took care of this problem with the new version. The light quality is the same as the old and they use the same remote and charger. I'm giving the new version a 4 out of 5. I still can't give the product 5 stars as they did send me used lights in the past and that is an issue with quality control. However, these lights are worth the gamble when you can catch them on sale.

I have purchased and gone through about a dozen wired par lights and I would recommend to any new or current DJ - who performs for weddings and provides uplighting - that they stop spending money on wired par lights for uplighting and start to rotate the old ones out with rechargeable ones such as these.While many DJ’s would say I’m crazy and that you should go for more expensive wired pars over these ones because higher end pars produce slightly better colors, but I would argue that the DJ’s cord control stands out to people more than a perfect wash of color when used for uplighting.I do wish these lights had more protection for the LED’s in front and they didn’t rattle so much, but it’s standard for most pars in this price range. This light is really bright and the colors look great. Battery seems to be lasting for the duration they say but I will update this review if anything changes. So far no complaints! The seller shipped my package with it 24 hours and it was here the following day. 5 stars!
