~The Court of Owls have arrived, and this Masterpiece has NEVER LOOKED BETTER & BIGGER!~
Ladies (if you are here) and gentlemen, if you are even slightly thinking you don't need this because you already have the comics, then please, Please, PLEASE!, re-consider your position! This book is B to the I to the G and is AB,SO,LUTE,LY BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Premium and EXTREMELY HIGH QUALITY! Scott Snyder's scripts & Greg Capullo's artistic style come to life like never before, and without question, whether you are a newbie or a long time resident of The Batman, you truly need this in your collection. Tight binding and it is HEAAAVY!What is not highlighted here on Amazon is the slipcase the book comes in. I could not find any mention of this on the web, and it would certainly make for a fantastic selling point. The front image comes from issue #6, where Greg Capullo drew Batman as a scary looking owl.....bbbbrrrrr. The rear image shows a Talon surrounded by The Court of Owls, from issue #3 (a bit of copy and paste done here) with their owl crest above them that can be felt but is only noticed when hit at the light angle. It even includes a red bookmark that has been sewn into the spine.....yeah, a bookmark: this has been done right. The book itself has the front image displayed here on Amazon, and the rear image is from issue #9, where Batman dons his War battle suit. You also get the back story from Jarvis Pennyworth, Alfred's father, warning him in a letter about the Court of Owls. It features artwork by Rafael Albuequerque, with all 3 stories included from issues 9-11.In addition to the above, the variant covers for issues #1-11 are here, the pencils and scripts for issue #1, as well as sketches and character designs by Capullo. You'll see Joker, Clayface, Killer Croc, Professor Pyg, Two-Face, The Riddler and Scarecrow. We are also treated to the designs for Batman's battle suit, as well as the designs for past and present Talons. By the time you finish, you'll appreciate what Scott Snyder & Greg Capullo are doing with Batman even more. And with a very revealing two-page introduction by Scott Snyder, he explains how he strongly considered NOT! writing Batman! "Say whaaaat?!" My reaction, too, people.Perhaps the tie-ins from the Night of the Owls crossover events could have been included; but honestly, once you see how gorgeous this MASSIVE! book is, you will not consider the point nor will you miss what is not there. DC did not disappoint with this one. The experience has truthfully been juvenescent for me.Trust me, this is most DEFINITELY!, most DEFINITIVELY! more than worth the price of admission.~No diggity, No doubt~

A fine addition to any omnibus collection
Absolute Batman Court of Owls delivers on all fronts in regards to quality. The page quality is thick and glossy allowing each panel to jump off the page. The book is contained in a sturdy slip case with a design from Batman #6. The book cover is embossed with Greg Capullo's amazing cover art from Batman #4. Along with collecting issues 1-11 it contains scripts and sketches as bonus material. The story itself is very contained and easily accessible for new readers. It features a new villain and crime group for our cape crusader and it will have you hanging on every page. The story is brought to life by the fantastic art by Greg Capullo who does almost all of the interior art for this run, giving this book some consistency. All in all it is definitely worth the asking price and great addition to any collectors library.

Beautiful Artwork. Solid Story. The Best Way To Read Comics.
This is a damn fine looking book. The size and quality of the presentation are almost worth the price of admission alone. Snyder's writing is solid, although I feel like his endings always seem to fall apart or just fail to satisfy. For my money I prefer Grant Morrison's Batman. The real star of this whole run is the art team of Greg Capullo, Danny Miki, and FCO Plascencia. The only real drawback is the price but this is by far the best way to read comics. You get what you pay for.

The Absolute Edition of this book is amazing. Although you don't get too much of the extras like you would with Batman Hush but Snyder offers his script on what he wanted for this book. Capullo did a great a job on this and it's such an interesting story that brings in something new to Batman. Talon was a cool villain. I ended up getting this signed by Snyder, Capullo and Glapion recently. The inside jacket offers an elegant space for signatures that enriches the book's aesthetic.

This was my first absolute addition I have purchased. I was hesitant at first because of the price but once I opened it I feel in love.I bought this because I own the individual volumes. I love the story and the artwork is AMAZING!!!!!!! The artwork is even better blown up on the bigger pages. The slipcase is cover is the best. Definitely worth the money and a nice addition to my collection. I look forward to my next absolute addition.

Amazing Book a bit Expensive
Batman Court of Owls Absolute was the first Absolute I've ever purchased. Based off the reviews on Amazon I was very excited to see how it compared. The slip cover is well made sturdy cardboard with full art on the front. The book has a sort of "glossy" feel to it. I haven't started reading it but I was very impressed. The ONLY thing I could think of as being a negative is the $77 feels about $25 over priced. But, overall I would buy again. I can't comment how the story is but the book quality itself is top notch.

Perfect for any Batman fan!
This is a perfect gift for any fan of The Dark Knight in one of the best sagas in his almost 80 year history! Comes with all of the sketch art, large print and panels, and a hard case shell for collectors. The story is a must read for fans of the Gotham series on Fox. I highly recommend.
