Love this little printer!
I wanted something to print mini photos without having to get a polaroid camera -- this photo printer is perfect for that! It prints clear and high resolution images with accurate colors--they looks super high quality! Its really compact and easy to travel with. It also prints super fast! You get a photo printed in about 30 seconds. So great for crafts or scrapbooking. The app is very easy to use and I love that it is compatible with my phone! The printer also holds a charge for quite a while so you dont need to stress about recharging all the time. So happy with this purchase!

Perfect yellow, great quality, easy setup!
This little yellow printer is simply perfect! I had no issues with the setup or usage right from the start. The quality of the pictures that print is also amazing (see the picture)! I chose the yellow one because it stands out in my journaling mess and is easy to find. If you’re a journal person, this is a must-have. Get it!

Better than expected
Pros: 1. When it works, the photos look great. 2. The film is affordable, especially when bought in bulk. Cons: 1. Inconsistency. Occasionally misprints can happen depending on the cartridge. Overall 5 stars, why? Despite the occasional misprint, I still give this 5 stars. The print quality is genuinely good, and the low cost of the film helps offset the rare wasted print. In my experience, the inconsistency seems more like a limitation of packing this kind of technology into a small device, rather than poor design. The Kodak Mini Retro 2 does exactly what it’s meant to do. If you’re looking for an affordable way to print small photos—whether for journaling, scrapbooking, or just casual use - this is a great option.

Professional Photographer
Two cartridges have failed on me so far. I don’t know if it’s a printer issue or paper issue. Otherwise, the print quality is pretty good for what it is. It does print brighter than it should and I do get roller marks that look like banding. Overall, still better quality than some other popular instant printers.

Great quality! Wallet sized pictures!
The app is easy to use, easy to Bluetooth, and prints really good pictures. They’re wallet sized or Polaroid sized pictures! I use it for scrapbooking and it’s great!

fun for travel
I just took this on a trip to Nepal and it was a huge hit. The perfect icebreaker. I was able to take pictures of people and then print and give to them right on the spot. It was a lot of fun and worked well.

Great color and print quality, and worked right out the box!
I was really anxious about this printer, since my mini polaroid prints really washed out shots and a lot of reviews for this also remarked on color inaccuracy, but I'm not having that problem at all. My photos all look great!! The Death Valley one only looks a little washed out because the actual original photo was on a super bright day and is also lighter, so even that printed as I expected. Picture clarity is great, too! I wish I'd gotten this instead of the Polaroid in the first place. There's definitely some noise involved in printing as it slides the paper back and forth to work on each layer, but it's not too bad, and the speed is fine. The printer is a little bigger than I was expecting from reviews, which I should have expected - unlike the rest of me, my hands are much smaller than the average adult lol. It's not as long as my phone, but it's about 2.5 times as thick as my phone in a silicone case, so I wouldn't feel safe walking around carrying it in my hand, but it would still fit well even in pretty small bags so long as you don't have a giant wallet. It still takes up like a sixth of the room of a Polaroid camera, though, so it's still a huge space saver! The only hiccup I had is that I was trying to connect to it through Bluetooth *before* setting up the app, thinking pairing it would make the app setup go smoother. Wrong. After wasting way too much time turning Buetooth off and on on my phone, turning the device off and on like a dozen times, and restarting my phone twice, all with no successes... I finally turned on the app instead, and boom. Instant connectivity, no problem. Didn't need to pair at all, so I wasted an hour for nothing but to exemplify my own foolishness. Ah, well.

A mini-er version of the mini printer
I love mini printers. I have a couple, and after my experience, I prefer the Dye Sublimation rather than the Zink paper. Dye sublimation, in my opinion, produces near professional photo print quality. I ordered the first Kodak mini printer and was in such awe. I enjoy journaling, so adding these photos on demand really up’d my journaling game. It was slightly bulky, and I’ve experience a few jams, but I surprisingly fixed those cartridges to print again. So, when the mini 2 came out, I was very happy, due to the smaller size, and I was confident I could repair the cartridges if I ran into the same jamming issues. A couple things I’ve noticed. The mini 2, to me, appears to print with less saturation in color than the mini 1. I know I can adjust the image settings, but out the gate the colors seem a little washed out. So I’ve had to adjust every time I print. I haven’t looked into seeing if I can change this to make my own default settings. Also, it prints the other way around. The mini 1’s tear tab is on the bottom of the image, whereas the mini 2’s tab is on top. 2: Not entirely sure if it was my bluetooth connection, but the mini 2 prints slightly slower than the mini 1. I have a video where I make the two printers race, and the mini 1 won. Apologies in the advance for the background noise. Not a deal breaker, just something I’ve observed. Overall, I do like the mini 2. I’ve retired my mini 1 and printed many photos on the mini 2 already. I know there are newer versions, but I feel the dye sublimation technology hasn’t really changed since the mini 1, so I’ll stick with this mini 2 until the printing technology has improved greatly.

Ridiculous product. Got my printer today and wasted 3 cartridges due to paper jam with only 2 useable printouts. Almost a miracle for photos to be printed properly. Do not waste your money on this.

I tried out the KODAK Mini 2 Retro for the first time yesterday, and I'm honestly hooked. I used it as part of my letter-writing hobby—printed a few snapshots to tuck into notes I was sending to friends in Kansas and Melbourne, Australia. It added such a personal feel, and the prints came out beautifully vibrant and crisp. It's compact, super easy to use, and the included photo paper means you can get started right out of the box. There's a bit of a pause needed after printing a handful, but it didn't really bother me. For something this convenient and satisfying, it's absolutely worth it. Feels like the perfect bridge between digital moments and real-life mementos.

’m really impressed with the KODAK Mini 2 Retro printer. It’s compact, lightweight and very easy to set up with my phone. The Bluetooth connection is quick and stable, and the app is simple to use with nice editing options. The print quality is excellent for such a small device. Colors are vibrant, details are sharp, and the photos come out dry and smudge-proof thanks to the 4Pass technology. I also like that the photos have a slightly thicker, premium feel. It’s perfect for gifts, scrapbooking or printing memories on the spot at parties. Overall, a fantastic little photo printer and definitely worth the purchase. I have used it for two years now
