very challenging but worth every second!

I got this puzzle because I absolutely love this classic and moving Ghibli film. Since I didn't see how I could get an official poster for this movie made over a decade ago, I decided to get this puzzle instead.Expensive? Yes, but if you love this movie and want some sweet wall art, then I say get it if you can afford it!The puzzle box is sturdy, and the artwork on the front is so beautiful in of itself. You could just display the box alone, which I did before starting the puzzle, hee hee.The pieces came in a plastic bag. A lost piece form, puzzle glue, and a scraper were in the box, also. Note that the form and glue have instructions in Japanese only.The pieces themselves feel a little light compared to others that I've held, but they are good quality. I don't believe that I saw any damaged or noticeably bent pieces; I don,'t think that I saw any white edges from a bad puzzle cut or the images peeling from the cardboard, either. Puzzle dust was basically nonexistent, also.This puzzle was very challenging, in my opinion. San and the wolves came together fairly easily, but there are large amounts of solid black and white pieces that just boil down to you sorting by shape and trying things out. If you hate tedium, this will test your patience.If you prevail over the masses of white and black, you'll be rewarded with a wonderful work of art. It's well printed, so you can really admire the painterly elements of the picture. (I love how thet gave the rock a sense of mass.) I believe that the finished puzzle is the standard size for a 1000-piece puzzle.So yes, buy it if you love the movie and don't mind the challenge.Because the glue pouch was all in Japanese, I didn't feel comfortable using it, so I can't comment on that. The scraper that it came with looks handy, however

This puzzle is absolutely stunning once it is put together and framed. However there are many pieces that are very dark. I'd recommend a small light next to you in order to see which shade of black each piece is. Doing this will make your life 100x easier.

The media could not be loaded. Took me 9 days to complete this beast, but it was damn well worth it.

Overall quality is great, but It was missing one puzzle part so we decided to try our luck and wrote to the manufacturer (ensky) in Japan. shortly after communication, we received the missing part from Japan! It's nice when customers are taken care of even in another country!

Princess Mononoke is my favorite ghibli film and I greatly enjoyed completing the puzzle. It is VERY difficult because most of the colors look similar. It took me 27 hours to complete the puzzle. However, it was worth it because the puzzle is beautiful. I had no missing pieces.

I was aware of the challenge when I got this puzzle, and was up to it.What I was not expecting was spending two days/several hours on just the edge because the pieces fit so loosely together there were many solutions which seemed viable with the all-white top and bottom sections.As for the rest of the puzzle, again loose fitting pieces. This means when you're trying different pieces out to see if they fit you can pull apart sections of the rest of the puzzle on accident.

I liked the puzzle, but it was missing a piece. Nothing is worse for a puzzle.
