Good vitamin, not for people with MTHFR Gene issues
Not for those with MTHFR Gene Mutation Issues. I started taking this vitamin about a year ago and really liked it. however, I was having issues that generally are linked to b12 and b9 deficiencies. Thats when I found out I have an uncommon, but not rare, manifestation of a gene mutation called MTHFR. It means that my body cannot process folic acid (a form of b9) into folate (the natural form of b9). Unfortunately that means that this vitamin was doing more harm than good for me, and I had to switch to a vitamin that contains methylated folate, which is better for my issues. Methylated folate isn't a revolutionary thing, and is actually more absorb-able for all people, so I think that the manufacturer should add it to this otherwise great vitamin. Other than that, this vitamin is good but smells pretty bad, I understand thats because its uncoated which is actually a benefit. Take that as you will.

Great choice for vitamins
Great every day multi-vitamin. They didn't leave an after taste and the packages all arrived without any broken pills. The levels of each vitamin seemed on par with other brands.

HUM Base Control
I have always been a "One a Day" person and normally I do not pay a lot for daily vitamins. I happened across the HUM Base Control and really like it and it is worth the price. It may be my imagination, but it seems to give me more energy and make me feel better, which I love. Read the label, it has all the vitamins that I need and it is much better then the normal daily vitamins that a person would take. The pill itself it a good size, easy to take and does not give you a vitamin after taste.

They don't make my stomach hurt like a lot of other brands do.
I really like these vitamins. I feel a lot more balanced when I take them compared to other brands.

One of the Best Multivitamins I've Used
One of the Best Multivitamins I've Used I've tried it all—whole food-based vitamins, natural capsule forms, fermented sources—everything you'd find in the multivitamin section at Whole Foods. Unfortunately, none of them worked for me; they caused digestive distress, hives, headaches… you name it. Then I found a multivitamin by Simple Truth (a Kroger brand) on Vitacost, and it suited me perfectly—but sadly, it was discontinued. I knew what ingredients worked for me, so I kept searching and was lucky to find HUM Base Control. When I checked the ingredients, they were identical to the Simple Truth formula—even the inactive ones. It was a perfect match! Now my whole family uses this vitamin. Buying directly from HUM requires a pricey subscription (about $38), so I'm really glad Amazon carries it. One tip: I’ve found that taking the vitamin mid-meal during breakfast—not before or after—prevents any nausea and helps with absorption. I feel more energized, and even my teenage daughter notices the difference on the days she takes it. Overall, this is a great multivitamin. Thanks to HUM for making something that truly works.

Horrible smell and taste
These may be good vitamins but I can’t get past the horrible smell and taste. I managed to choke down one for a few days and couldn’t do it any more. It’s funny because most HUM pills are in those little pill pocket things… it’s weird they chose to keep these like this. Gross!
