Jatamansi root also known as spikenard is mentioned in the Bible, the oil that Mary used to anoint Jesus’s feet. It is fragrant, earthy, grounding a famous perfume oil. This powder is a relative of valerian so is relaxing and anti inflammatory. I am using it to reduce blood pressure, blood sugar, ease anxiety and improve sleep. It tastes like tree bark or tree root, not tasty but grounding, earthy and satisfying. Add 1/4 tsp to a little water daily to stay calm and healthy.

I like it for it's calming abilities - but I can't find information on whether or not it's okay for internal use? Just because it's organic doesn't necessarily mean it's for internal (I find a lot of external only products that are organic). It doesn't say external only (I don't believe), and it does suggest how to make a tea, but a few of my other Indian herbs like shikakai are labeled organic and also external only (confused). So, I want to be sure with this one that it's safe to inject.

The root has suspicious origins. There is no indication of any heavy metal testing being done on the powder. They don't respond to emails to clarify anything about the powder's safety. Find someone else with a more secure and reliable business.
