This stuff is...
...well... Precious! A studio mate introduced me to it in 2005. It was a fateful day! (OK ok.. too dramatic)Takes some getting used to. (I'm using it on an "unconventional" substrate here... so don't get frustrated if yours is shiny...) (ancient Chinese secret)Use good lighting . Reading glasses if you need them. Nice tiny brushes (don't have to be expensive.. china makes good (enough) brushes for fingernails and such)The essence works really well, but.. holy moly.. these all are intensely strong smelling. Be sure to have good (very good) ventilation. A fan helps a lot.Have fun!~MantaWave. Porcelain jewelry artist. ;)Ps.. white gold is amazing too. The regular gold .. well.. maybe a little too brassy looking for my taste

SO Shiny!!
I have to say, I grossly underestimated how small 2 grams is, but this teensy bottle went a LOT further than I expected it to! It paints on red, but after firing, it comes out such a brilliantly shiny and gorgeous gold! I used it on two champagne glasses that I glazed at one of those pottery painting places, and a friend refired them in her personal kiln for me. Neither of us really knew what to expect, but this stuff made the glasses look so glitzy! I did all the detailing I wanted to on the glasses and I still have half of this bottle of luster left.It smells very strong, which I expected, but the blood-red color surprised me a little. "How will this come out GOLD?" I wondered, but gold it became!! I'm very happy with this luster, and for the gorgeous look of the gold, I would say this was well worth the price. Is $40 a lot for 2 grams? Yes it is. Does this look absolutely stunning when it's fired? YES it does. It's expensive because it looks expensive when it's fired. You definitely get what you pay for.My photo is a horrible quality photo taken in a moving vehicle (because I was so excited when I picked them up that I couldn't wait to show them to a friend), and the glass still looks amazing!! If you're looking for the perfect gold overglaze, this is it!

Beautiful gold
This luster goes on easy and lusters up well. Holds up to use once fired to proper temp.

Hit me with the GOLD
I have used this gold luster a couple of times now and am blown away every time. It is beyond gorgeous.Shines beautifully and even though this bottle is little and seems expensive it’s not. So worth the price and you don’t need much at all so it goes a long way.

It's the real deal stuff.
I wish they still came in the original bottle size that was more appropriate for the actual quantity inside... but buyouts be buyouts. Anyway, when I purchased this it was the best price I could find, and no issues with the finished results.

Bottle was almost empty
My biggest mistake was not opening the bottle when the shipment came. I finally had a chance to apply to my projects and excitedly go to get the gold overglaze and to my utter disappointment, the bottle was empty. Just a few little red dribbles. I didn't realize gold is now red. Do yourself a favor when you spent 57.00 on 2 grams, make sure you open the bottle as soon as you get it because my complaint and return window is far passed. There is no value for the money on this one.
