Favorite product
We have children with food allergies and this is the best lunchbox. It opens up and provides them with their very own, safe space to eat lunch. We don't have to worry about the table surface cross-contaminating their lunch. The best part is that it's machine washable. I've washed each lunchbox many, many times and they still look brand new. I highly recommend this product.

needs to be larger, with using bento boxes and zippers need pullys to make it easier for kids to close it properly, my son comes home with his lunch half open all the time.

Great Customer Service
I ordered this lunch box for my daughter for kindergarten. The package arrived on time and in good condition, but the color was wrong. This wouldn't have been an issue for me, but it was immediately noticed by my daughter; she is a big fan of purple. Once notified, the seller went to extraordinary measures to make sure that she was satisfied with our purchase. The box itself is well constructed and roomy enough to hold a good lunch. The design is nice; she can eat on a picnic or lunchroom table and not place her food directly on the surface. At this age, she wouldn't think twice about placing a half-eaten piece of fruit on the table. The bag is machine washable which was a major consideration in selecting this particular lunch box. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this seller or their product.Update: I am still impressed with this company's customer service response. The bag itself is pretty good, but it has at least one major shortcoming. The interior is just a little bit too small to accommodate reusable containers, a cold pack, and a drink. You can squeeze these items in, but a child will have trouble putting them back in when they finish their lunch. For someone who is perhaps packing a light lunch and a small drink container, like a canned drink, it might work very well. The construction has proven to be very solid. However, I will be looking for a more spacious lunchbox for the next school year.

Very Impressive
Besides needing a lunch box for his new Montessori school, my son also needed a cloth napkin that would serve as a place mat to eat from. There is no cafeteria so they eat in the classroom. With there being food allergies I guess it's easier to eat that way and help keep cross contamination down (I am clearly no expert here). Well anywho, I stumbled across this beauty and it now serves the purpose of both lunch box and place mat. I wash it when it's dirty and wipe it down every day. It perfectly fits the Rubbermaid Lunchblox systems that are square (not the larger rectangular ones). He is 6 and he can zip it up no problem. There are little fabric loops at the bottom of the box that he holds on to when he zips it but they are a bit too small for me to grip well when I zip it for him. If you want this for a grown up i'd suggest going to solvetta's website and ordering the large FlatBox so you can fit more in there. There is no room in here for a drink so keep that in mind if you don't trust a reusable bottle to be rolling about in a backpack. The teachers LOVE this bag and asked me straight away where I found it because it's perfect for the classroom setting he's in. I haven't seen a standard lunch table in years so this may or may not be a bit big for a child's lunch room, as in, crowding the lunch tray across from you though don't quote me on that. Seriously, this bag is great and I highly recommend it to everyone that see's it.

the thick neoprene folds take away from some of the useful space inside
On the plus side, the neoprene is fully machine washable, and the fact that it unzips to a flat layer means that it's very each to throw on the wash. It is just a tad small - I can usually fit everything in, but it's a little cramped. And the neoprene is a bit thick, which adds extra weight that I don't think is necessary. The footprint is larger than a typical brown paper bag, so it takes up a bit more room in a kid's backpack, and when you fold it up, the thick neoprene folds take away from some of the useful space inside. Overall, I'm very happy with the material. I don't personally care about being able to use it as a place mat, so the unzip feature is kind of meaningless to me, though it does make it easy to clean. The one thing that keeps me from buying several of these is the odd shape - the larger footprint and tapered top (like a bowling ball bag) - it's a bit hard to fit into a kid's backpack along with other items that are more rectangular/square.

Nice placemat
I love that this bags opens flat and can be used as a place mat. It is a small bag and doesn’t hold big containers. It can also keep your food cold with an cool pack for a couple of hours.

Love the concept and look BUT not executed in the best way
It's an okay lunch box.Best features: 1. It can zip down into a placemat! I love that my kids can eat off a dirty table and I don't have to mess with the whole germ issue. 2. The colors are fun- I love the contrasting border and zipper. 3. It can go in the washer.Room for improvement: 1. I feel the the zippers don't quite go all the way to the top, which leaves me wondering if it can really keep the items cold. 2. This size is a little big for my needs. They do make smaller sizes; I wish I realized how big this size actually is before I bought two. I think I can fit a whole lunch for my entire family (2 adults, 2 kids) in one bag. 3. I guess I'm not a big fan of the neoprene material. It doesn't seem very wipeable, though it is great that it can go in the washer. My 2 year old has trouble zipping it up. But my 4 year old has no trouble.Overall, the negatives do bug me. However I will continue to use the product because I do enjoy how it does fold into a placemat.

Small
Less capacity than I anticipated. I have one with a similar zip out placemat concept from a different manufacturer whose placemats is smaller but has more capacity

Fantastic lunch box!
This lunch box is fantastic! My daughter (12) loves it and it’s still “super cool”, even in middle school. Fully washable!! It also holds much more than you’d expect. She often takes her thermos with a hot lunch as well as fruit, veggies, dip, and a couple of other snacks. She can easily fit her thermos and 3-4 other containers for snacks. A++
