Great for outdoor devices during winter.
These are used in the outdoor sensor of my driveway alarm. They do not freeze up in cold weather, and last quite a long time.

I needed to replace the batteries in my 3 1/2 month old exterior security camera and as soon as I popped 2 of them in the camera, it was back online.

Great battery as described
Used these batters for my Nest Smoke Protect. They lasted as described for about 2 years strictly running on battery. The alkaline batteries get drained within 24 hours for this specific product, so using lithium was optimal. Works as expected.

The "Ultimate" AA Battery
Some reviewers here have mentioned their batteries arrived opened and have even expressed concern that those they received were used. My batteries were but one item in a larger order and when they arrived I found them in their original packaging and laying on the bottom of the shipping box. However, when I removed the battery package from the shipping box, the bottom end of the battery plastic blister detached from the battery package's cardboard flat underside and the batteries spilled out. I have looked at the packaging closely and believe this happened because the glue that secures the edges of the plastic blister battery cover to the package's cardboard underside is inadequate and failed. I do not believe that this is a result of someone having deliberately opened the package. This product is fulfilled by Amazon and they're trustworthy.I do think that these batteries were developed for the UK market and not the US market because mine had an insert in them for a UK-based organization called "which" and this insert indicated these batteries were named a "Best Buy" by that organization in their December 2011 ratings. The web site for this organization began with www, was followed by the word "which", and then ended with the .co.uk extension. I know that if I wrote that here as a web address it would be automatically removed before this review was posted. But otherwise, their performance as a battery is in no way different than it would be if the packaging was intended for the US market.I decided to give these a try after reading the 2014 Consumer Reports AA battery ratings. This battery scored 95/100 and the next closest was the Energizer Advanced Lithium AA Battery 4 Pack, at 77/100. The top rated alkaline battery, Duracell Quantum Alkaline AA Batteries 28 Count, scored 57/100, so you can see how based on these ratings, I decided to spend the extra money and give Energizer Ultimates a try.The article I am referring to also had some other interesting advice. According to the article, lithium batteries are better in cameras and other "high drain" devices than alkaline. Alkaline batteries are recommended for use in low-drain devices such as flashlights and remote controls. Some alkaline batteries apparently perform almost as well as lithium when used in low-drain devices. Again, the Duracell Quantum was their highest-rated alkaline AA battery. The article indicated that most alkaline batteries "have a shelf life of about seven years, though some makers claim up to 10 years. And you do not have to store them in the refrigerator to prolong life, contrary to any old-wives' tale you might have heard." It didn't say what the shelf life was for lithium batteries and didn't even imply that there was one. The package for these Energizer Ultimates I received indicates that they should be used by 2026. They're terrific batteries, the best I've ever used, and I don't think you'll be disappointed either.
