Good For Fine Motor, Teaching Multiple Concepts, Watch Carefully With Chewers/Kiddos With Impulse and Risk Assessment Challenges
I purchased these a couple of years ago to work on fine motor skills with our son, who has a rather long list of diagnoses at this point that come with global developmental delays. At the time, I wanted this as part of a fine motor progression for stringing beads. He had become very successful with larger two inch beads, and I thought this would be a good next step progression and challenge for the beads, and I liked that there were pattern cards. And even though we've now progressed to stringing cheerios, I have recently placed this back in my rotation for therapy targets and tasks because of the pattern cards, which was something we could not work with him on at the time of purchase. So, durability wise, we have no issues with this product. The strings have been holding up. For our little man, because of the nature of his challenges, we did have to knot one end of each string to keep the beads on and give him a good basis for adding more beads without getting frustrated. That is something we still need.If you have a kiddo who is a chewer or has impulse control issues, this is a toy that you will need to closely supervise and may still stress the living day lights out of you from time to time. For example, today I was working on a pattern card that involve the cylindrical beads. Which are a lovely size for esophageal obstruction, and my little man (who is 5 and has problems with impulse control, chewing, and risk assessment) kept running off with them the moment he sat down and popping them in his mouth. His first stop with one of the beads was my yoga ball where he proceeded to bounce it into the back of his throat, and with another he ran up the stairs and coughed it into the back of his throat. Because he's quick, he got away from the table those two times before I could grab him, and I was fortunately able to still reach him and the bead quick enough to sweep it before it went down. The moral of the story is I think this is a great toy for fine motor, but depending on the nature of your child's disabilities there is definitely an element of risk that you can not turn your back on. Pretty much ever.So since he is a chewer, I can say the paint holds up well enough for those times he's managed to get one in his mouth. I think this is a great multi functional teaching tool for a typically developing child as well as one with specialized needs. It's good for patterns, colors, shapes, fine motor, and creativity, and as it also has had no quality control issues, it is definitely a 5 star toy with supervision if needed.

Wonderful and Fun Product
These beads arrived on time and were in excellent condition. The box is very sturdy and makes a great place to keep the beads and cards. I like the variety and number of beads. There are enough beads for two children to work on necklaces at the same time and no one has to fight over anything. The beads are nicely finished with bright paint, nice and smooth to the touch. The round beads might be a problem for smaller kids as they look like gumballs. The cubes and cylinders are great for building small cities for tiny dolls and cars. Unending play is promised with these great beads - counting, sorting, stringing, building. Your child or grandchild will come up with their own ideas!

These beads are excellent for hand and eye coordination.
These beads are sturdy and the cards are great too. They work best if laminated so they can last longer. Also, I love the blank white cards because it helps with independent practice.

This item is wonderful - love the colors
This item is wonderful - love the colors, the cards, the shapes...and my 3 yr old daughter loves it, too. My only concern is the size of the beads. 3 yr olds sometimes still put things in their mouths perhaps without thinking....and these are a somewhat scary choking hazard size.....because they are quite big but still a very easy size to swallow...and with their bright colors, they kinda look like candy. I will not allow my 3 yr old to play with these unless supervised by me.

So entertaining for toddlers!
My little girl loves this toy. We did have to tie knots in the end of the strings because you lose beads all over the place otherwise, but this is a great toy. She's not currently into the flash cards that come with it, but that's ok. It gives us a new way to use this toy 6 months or a year from now when she gets a little older. Highly recommend this!

So happy to have found smooth inside wood beads!!!
These beads are awesome. I really truly wanted wood beads, however so many other sets had bad reviews and my 11 yr. old said be careful, wood beads are always rough inside and you can't get the string through! These are perfect! Just the right size, not too big and not too small. I wanted it challenging for my 3-4 year old daughter and nephews, but not so small they would get frustrated. I simply love these and can't wait until they unwrap them on Christmas!

One minor issue
We love this activity so much for my 2 year old. It keeps him engaged and it’s awesome that it includes 2 laces instead of one and the cards are a bit difficult for him right now but he’s getting the hang of it and it’s def something he’ll be using for the next year. My only concern is the spheres are very small and a chocking hazard. I was actually very surprised to see that they made them this tiny when it’s marketed for small children. There are other companies out there who make them at least twice as big but I chose this company because of its reputation and I expect the paint to be lead free. I’m thinking of returning it because of the choke hazard honestly. The stress isn’t worth it now that I write this out and weigh out the details

Very clever product
My 3 year old loves exploring with the colourful beads. Fine motor skills allows them to put the beads through the bead holes at the same time learn about shapes, pattern and colours and be creative. After he’s done filling up the string he would lay it on the floor and create a shape or necklace.

Value for money!
Well made, colourful, easy to use, easy instructions, well made cards, cannot recommend them enough! The pieces are quite big, so no chance of swallowing them,as I also have a 5 month old , so extra points for that! My 3 year old can't have enough of them.

Exactly what it should be.
My son has spent hours completing the cards, following the patterns and is quite proud of himself when he's done. I wish there were more cards with ideas to complete. The beads are good quality. Very happy with this purchase.
