Amazing upgrade from Soundcore 1 & 2, perfect if you don't need AUX/3.5mm
TL;DR:- No aux- USB-C charging- Noticeably improved sound compared to gen 1 and gen 2- much shorter delay in audio to video. No delay when connected to my Google TV Streamer 4k- Easily worth the price point in my opinionI've owned multiple Soundcore 1's and a couple of Soundcore 2's. One of my Soundcore 2's died on me after several years of service (first Soundcore to ever die on me) so I decided to give the Soundcore 3 a try.First of all, I messed up when I ordered this speaker (but I'm glad I did). I assumed this had an Aux port, but it doesn't. That's on me. This wasn't falsely advertised as having one, I had just made the assumption it would because the versions before had them. Unfortunately, what I originally needed it for required an aux jack. Thankfully, I own multiple Soundcores and all the rest have Aux jacks. Most of my Soundcores are driving audio for screens. This is why Aux was so important to me. Bluetooth audio typically has a 1 or 2 second delay. So I tried to find where I could make this work with Bluetooth.I have a Soundcore 1 hooked up to a projector that's being driven by a Google TV Streamer 4K. I know Google's streaming devices are usually pretty good at calculating delay with bluetooth speakers, so I connected the Soundcore 3 to the Google TV Streamer 4k (Not the projector) and it worked beautifully. IF there was ANY delay, it wasn't noticeable to my family and I. Pairing with bluetooth is easy as it was with the previous models: hold down the bluetooth button for a couple of seconds and the speaker will chime and the bluetooth light will flash, indicating it's ready to pair.There is a noticeable improvement to the sound with the Soundcore 3. The sound is clear, crisp, and the bass doesn't drown out the treble or mid.Controls are Simple and should be familiar to anyone who already owns a Soundcore 1 or 2. The middle button is the soundcore logo. It's replaced the play button, but does the same and also mimics many of the classic controls that wireless earbuds have.Example: 1 tap - pause/play. 2 taps - forward a song. 3 taps - restart / previous songThe volume buttons are mid left and mid right where they've been on all models.The front has a new design compared to the 1 and 2. It has a very similar body to the soundcore 2 with a matte rubber like finish. It is slightly wider or "deeper" than the soundcore 2 front to back, but is similar in height, length and weight.The USB-C port is an awesome upgrade in my opinion. USB-C can charge devices MUCH faster than micro-USB, so if your device is dead and you need a charge, it can hit max battery a lot faster.VERY happy that I accidentally purchased this. I also tested it on a device that's not friendly with bluetooth delay sync, The delay was noticeable but CONSIDERABLY shorter compared to the Soundcore 1 and 2.I can't wait to start bringing this out by the pool this summer to play music for my family and guests.

Best Value Bluetooth Speaker for the $ by Far!
I had previously owned the previous model with Soundcore 2 from 2018-2025 and was very happy with the crisp, clean, sound until eventually one of the speakers started buzzing(after years of usage), so it was time to upgrade. The Soundcore 3 is arguably even crisper and cleaner with even more resonant bass. I even temporarily purchased a competitor that was 3 times more expensive, but sent it back, and then went with the Soundcore 3. Superbly happy with my purchase. There is no better value Bluetooth speaker for the price.

Small and portable speaker
Easy to connect to a phone and very portable. I needed something for an outdoor burial to play a song on and it worked great connecting to my iphone and was small enough I easily carried it in my suitcase. A great buy for a reasonable price.

Beefier and sturdier
I got the Anker Soundcore 3 after I accidentally left my old Soundcore 2 on the roof of my car and left work. Ooops! So I decided it was a good time to upgrade. I also wanted to get a new one that used the UCB-C ports since that's what my phone also uses. Its nice having consistent ports across multiple devices so you aren't juggling cables.The overall speaker is a bit bigger and sturdier feeling than the previous one. Sound wise I feel like it's a bit better in the higher range frequencies. The Soundcore 2 was definitely more bass focused. Switching from my car's speakers to the stereo I could always notice a cut of the high mids and mid frequencies. The Soundcore 3 has less of that. Its not the best sounding speaker ever, but it's robust and gets the job done for a good price point. I'll be sticking with Anker on these going forward!Overall I'm pretty happy with the new one. I also got in a lighter color to avoid last times little misshap! ^^;

Great voice clarity for audiobooks.
Great speaker, bought it so I can listen to audiobooks, the voice clarity is even better than I hoped for. Actually if you download the soundcore app they have a voice clarity priority setting.

Great sounding small Bluetooth speaker… when using the custom 9-band EQ in the Phone App
I bought the Soundcore 3 to replace my Tribit Maxsound Plus for use as a low volume kitchen-counter "background radio" playing Pandora all day long.Pandora has an outstanding algorithm for selecting relevant songs but for me, the sound has too much midrange and not enough deep bass or sparkling treble. It sounds more like AM radio, not very "Hi-Fi".When using Pandora on an iPhone or iPad, there's no way to EQ the sound … why I cannot more highly recommend all recent Soundcore speakers and earbuds compatible with their free phone app which has a "game changer" custom 9-band EQ.Here's a link to my 2021 review of the larger Soundcore Motion Boom (still one of the best outdoor speakers) with an explanation of how to install the phone app and adjust the custom EQhttps://www.amazon.com/review/R2U6B0N78540QJ/(copy and paste the above URL into a web browser address bar)Using the V-shaped custom EQ on the smaller Soundcore 3 transforms the sound of Pandora when played at low to medium "background" settings: smooth, easy to listen to, deep bass and detailed treble. By comparison the Tribit Maxsound Plus playing Pandora has blary midrange and for me is unlistenable (Tribit does sound good on Spotify when using it's custom EQ setting found in their phone app as follows: Profile > Settings and privacy > Playback > Equalizer > create a V shaped curve as shown in my Motion Boom review)Tips-- if the volume is turned up high, the deep bass sliders (left side) of my custom EQ should be moved down to prevent distortion.-- I recommend comparing the sound in the usual horizontal orientation vs a vertical "tower" orientation. In the corner of my kitchen, the sound is much better standing up vertical: deeper cleaner bass / smoother midrange / more detailed treble.I hope this is helpful.
