The puzzles are specifically for one player. You could cooperate and play with more if you'd like.

Q: The age recommendation is 8-15 and it looks as if buyers are getting this for kids of all ages. Would it be fun for an adult too?

I bought it as a game to keep us occupied at restaurants or while waiting in doctor offices. It fits easily in my purse and is a breeze to play. I did buy it for my kids ages 8-11, and they love it, but it has progressively harder levels which challenge me too. If the adult you are purchasing it for likes spatial puzzles, it would be great.
