Best of all!
My husband and I are tea lovers. We drink tea everyday. It was more than a year ago when I bought a glass one and safe for stove top. It worked for a few months and then one day in the morning in winter it broke into pieces right after turning the stove on, probably due to sudden temperature change. So I used my old teapot which I am not sure if it leaches the chemical. So I purchased another one and it was broken already in the box. I purchased a third one which had a big problem due to spilling water so much from around the lid when pouring tea into a cup. I returned that too! Finally I got this one which is made of high quality glass but it is not safe for stove top. I boil water in a stainless steel saucepan and then pour into the teapot which already added some loose tea to the infuser. Then I covered the teapot with a kitchen towel to keep it hot while brewing. For longer life of your tea pot, it is better to keep tea pot on top of the pan or a kettle that you boil water in it, when the water has come to a boil to get your tea pot warm before pouring boiling water into it. That way, there won't be sudden temperature change.

Convenient teapot for delicious tea
I love using this teapot with its infuser much more than those little round tea balls where you have to break up the tea leaves into very small bits. The infuser can be removed very easily with its little handle. It makes a nice quantity of tea so you can have more than one cup or you can serve yourself and a couple of friends by making a full pot. It's sold at a very fair price--$4 cheaper than a similar one. I use a gooseneck electric water heater with temperature settings so that I can be precise with the water's temperature according to what type of tea I'm brewing, but one could also remove all the metal parts of the teapot and heat the water in the teapot in a microwave or use a separate tea kettle--just don't put the teapot on a stove burner. I'm very happy with it. The taste of tea made with loose tea leaves is so much better than teabags! I'll never go back to teabags.

It feels so incredibly fragile... but it's still lovely!
This teapot is quite nice if you don't mind the fragile feel. I'm sure I've had ceramic or porcelain teapots that have had the same feel but something about it being glass makes it feel more fragile. It works quite well, the strainer frame fits well in the glass pot. The strainer itself is easy to insert and remove. But you do have to be careful and mind the stainless steel, it WILL try to rust if you don't properly wash and immediately dry the pieces. I've had mine since December 20106 and it's shown a few signs of rust where I didn't clean it and dry it fast enough. I've noticed that it's prone to spilling while pouring so I've taken to the quick sharp pour style over the gentle pour. That may sound silly but anybody who has used a teapot before knows what I mean.

best teapot I ever had
Best, most useful, most well-designed and made teapot I ever had. Of course, I do NOT put this teapot directly on the heat as I never put any teapot directly on the heat. I heat water in a whistling teakettle & then pour over the tea leaves in the strainer. This pot is shaped so it's easy to see when the water reaches the correct level. The handle does not get hot. Spout does not drip when pouring. The strainer can be removed, the lid replaced, and the remainder of the tea refrigerated in the pot if desired. Pour refrigerated tea into a sturdy, heatproof mug and reheat only enough for pleasant enjoyment in the microwave. (Caution: no sudden temperature changes please. Might be heat-resistant glass, but still requires proper care if it's going to last.) Cleaning the strainer and the pot is very convenient since the openings are of generous size. If something happens to this teapot, I shall certainly replace it with another of the same. Highly recommended!!!

I LOVE THIS TEAPOT
Love Love Love this product. It is so cool looking plus it works great. The tea leaf basket comes out to make cleaning it super easy and it is the perfect size for two cups of tea at a time. I love using loose leaf tea and this infuser teapot is so much easier and quicker to use then my tea leaf infuser ball steepers. No filling and having to get the two halves back to together or having it pop open in the bottom of your tea cup. Just add loose tea to the infuser and pour hot water over it. Voila! You have great tea and the teapot is so pretty at the same time! You can easily see how dark you tea is so can steep it to your desired strength without having to keep opening the teapot to check. I give this product a 100 on the scale of 1 to 100.
