Ive had 6 of these installed for about a year now with zero failures. For the price they are hard to beat

The media could not be loaded. I tried a blink outdoor wifi camera in our sump well but as soon as the steel cover dropped, so did the signal. Our house was strangely built on a spring, and without a sump pump the crawlspace fills like a swimming pool in a few days. The rain gutters and footer french drain all go in this deep, dark well.Sump pumps only lasted a few months with constant on and off cycles, even with a timer, so I have this great camera with a POE net switch ($25 or so) setup outside so I can remotely check the level and start my pump when there are two feet of water in the sump. It can evacuate 700 gallons a day when it rains.The camera was easy to install with the turret screwed on a wood board. It has great sound, so I can hear when the pump is almost running dry and stop it. The app is also very easy to use, I can check on things a few times a day when we are half a country away in Iowa. The sump itself is in Washington State. I hope this keeps working in the humidity and weather, so far so great.

I bought 5 of these cameras and installed on my lake house which is 1200 miles away from where I live. It is great being able to see what's going on. I set them on "record on motion" and the app makes it easy to see what triggered the recordings.I installed a Power over Ethernet (PoE) router for these, which meant no routing of extra power lines to each camera. A $60 PoE switch was definitely worth the investment here. I put a 128Gb micro-SD card in each, so no cloud subscription is required.I also put one of these in my garage so I could see if there is water from the well tank, softener, or heater there. Well worth the small incremental investment for my peace of mind.I highly recommend these and am kinda looking for more "use cases" to buy a few more :-)

I have two Reolink RLC-822A cameras and I liked them well enough to step down to the 520A just for the person detection feature. All I needed was a camera that could differentiate between people, cars and any motion and send me alerts. But the 520A is a trivial step down from the 822A. The pictures it takes will only go as big as 2560*1920 whereas the 822A will go as large as 3840*2160. However, this is barely an issue. This picture size is noticeable when using the email or FTP feature. The quality of the images is still ok it's just the size. There isn't any pet detection either on the 520 but that is trivial to me too. I use old Wi-Fi iPads as monitors. I have two md510LL/a (iPad 4) that is placed on a tray table between the Television and where I am sitting. Of course, I can move them anywhere in an instant. I see when anyone comes in the driveway or walks in front of my house while I am watching TV. I've tried everything as a monitor. My TV, my PCs third monitor feature, a dedicated PC, Amazon Firestick, Roku, VLC using RTSP, and I always come back to the iPads. I also have an iPad mini in the kitchen. So, If I am cooking, I can watch the driveway when I am expecting a delivery. I got the iPads from eBay. What is really good about the iPad is that Reolink continues to update the app as of May 13, 2023, where most if not every other app will not have an app to keep updated. Even the IOS won't update. These iPads only have one purpose, they are Wi-Fi Reolink monitors.

these work great, no issues. i actually have these indoors and they blend well with my ceilings / molding/ trim.there is a chance that somewhere in china there is a chinaman, possibly winnie the pooh himself, watching me living my life at home.

Excellent value for the money, especially if you buy the 2-pack. Setup was relatively painless - and this was incorporating a switch, router AP, and a wireless bridge! I've contacted technical support a few times with questions and responses are very fast and accurate. I highly recommend these cameras!

This camera is awesome. Motion detection works great. Connectivity is really good mines hardwire which I prefer and picture quality is really good can read license plates unlike ring door bell

I love these cams, they are pretty consistent in what you get, the quality of the video is always good, or good enough for what I use them for. They do have their weaknesses at night, which you can look up on YouTube for video samples (The Hook Up has great videos on this). And they work with Blue Iris, though it may require a firmware update depending on your version. One issue I had with this one initially, all the protocols needed for BI to work were disabled, I had to go into the network/advanced settings and turn on all the protocols, not sure if they all come like that or it was a fluke. In BI, I just add the cam via IP and select Reolink as vendor and then the option that has the most cams listed. It doesn't list the 520, but it still works, should have the 410 and such. I always block my cameras from Internet access using the firewall and turn off the onboard motion and such, I just use Blue Iris, so I can't comment on those features. I don't stick a flash card in them or anything like that.
