I have been shaving my head with various razor blades for the last 20 years. I finally decided to go the electric razor route because I was sick of the process, cuts, and irritation. I came across the Pit Bull line while conducting some research. I did not want to spend too much money, but I also wanted to go with something that received solid reviews. I watched a number of videos reviews to make a decision. I chose to purchase the PitBull Gold. I have been using the PB Gold since early June. For weeks, I was shaving dry and I was very pleased. I had both the 3 blade and 4 blade attachments. While it was not as close as an actual razor blade, I was happy because I could shave anywhere and it saved me a ton of time. I came across the Carver 5 Head Blade and invested in that replacement blade. It actually made quite a difference and I was getting an even better shave than with the 3 or 4 bladers. Early on, I started wetting my face and head slightly before shaving and that helped improve the results. About a week ago, I decided to add shaving cream to the routine. I highly recommend that anyone who has not used shaving cream to immediately do it. I have been getting a nice, clean shave that rivals a shave with a regular 6 blade razor. Couldn't be happier and I'm done in about 1-2 minutes. Easy clean up and I save a bunch of time. Overall Quality - It's light and does not seem very sturdy, but as long as you do not drop it, clean it regularly, and do not submerge the entire unit in water, this should last. You have to take care of things and they'll take care of you. Battery Life - EXCELLENT. I can go weeks without charging this if I want to. I only use a few % of charge for each shave. I shave every day. Shave Quality - Very good dry or wet. Highly recommend using shaving cream combined with the Carver 5 Blade Replacement blade. This has given me the closest shave. Irritation: Little to none on my head and face. The only irritation I experience is on the lower part of my neck, both the back and the front. Otherwise, no nicks, very little irritation. Recommendation: If you don't mind spending $100 plus, I recommend this to anyone who is looking to be rid of razor blades. The PB Gold has been great. I suggest buying the Carver Replacement (5) Blade for best results.
