Although designed for that pan, it doesn't provide a tight fit and moves around the rim of the pan. The vent with open and closed positions doesn't do anything. I have other pan lids with similar vents that visibly let steam out when in open position. This kid is good for preventing splashes and that's it.

Fits my 8" saucepan perfectly. The silicone rim lets you fit it to a variety of edges, and to the various interpretations of "eight inch diameter" in pans. It's snug with a venting feature on top, on the handle, that lets you keep the steam in, or let it out. Good purchase.

This fit my pan perfectly. The black lip you see in the picture is rubber - that's actually a great idea because it allows the pan cover to fit tightly. The vapor vent in the handle is 50/50 - one can get burnt badly if not careful. I'm not sure it works as advertised. One thing I noticed with this cover is that it traps an awful lot of moisture (with/without venting). I like it in a way, but expect more water in your cooking with this cover. I strongly recommend.

The lid fit my pan nicely and I liked that the vent could open and close. The first time I used it I made tacos and have not been able to get the taco smell out of the silicone rim. I have washed it many times and put a dish of baking soda in the cupboard but every time I open the door I smell taco. I kept hoping the odor would ware off but it hasn't. I wish I had returned it but didn't think about it till it was too late.

This is a great lid--good fit, but the venting method is one I had not given much thought prior to purchase. As one reviewer noted, venting temps will get your attention, but more irritating is when oil, I use olive oil primarily, or whatever cooking debris gets into the vent holes. Cleaning then includes a screw driver, Phillips, and removing the vent handle. goodygumdrops....

Fits perfectly snug, see-through, on/off steam-escape port in handle...this simple lid improved my home cooking quickly!

The perfect lid for the black cube frying pan. It fits snugly and has a very useful way for steam to escape without actually lifting the lid. It is so very easy to clean, as is the fry pan, and I have enjoyed using this cookware. I am very impressed with the technology used in creating both pan and lid. I also highly recommend buying both pan and lid..
