I have had to go back to mechanical pencils for one task I now do a lot. I had a couple of very nice pencils and needed replacement leads for them. Seems everything is now 0.7mm leads which are too large for my pencils. I found these 0.5mm leads and ordered. Very nice, great quality, no smudges, or uneven quality, nicely made. As they are thin, I had to learn to only extend a small bit of lead as they do break if you extend 1/4 inches or so (duh!). But that is my fault, not this product. Will definitely reorder when needed. Brand name Pentel product with a good reputation

Doesn't break
I use mechanical pencils instead of the wooden pencils.And I often have problems because the lead inside breaks frequently.This lead refills are stronger and doesn't break as much.

Very high quality and uniformity
Been using this hardness for many years - the best tradeoff I've found for visibility and strength. If you press too hard, of course, you can break any lead. These show up nice and dark without breaking easily!

Pretty straight forward
Lead has a nice quality and doesn't break very easily. It has alot of pieces for the price and I would definitely recommend
