Burned out after 5 minutes at 12V
The resin it was potted in was all sticky and gooey, and it burned out after 5 minutes of use. Seller should specify that it's not meant for continuous function. Either that or maybe it's not meant to run at 12 volts. The packaging didn't specify 12 volts only the product listing did. I didn't try 5 volts to see if it would work but if you get this module try it at 5 volts first and see if that's good enough.

Good unit - Make sure to discharge
Works for what I need it for. Would recommend. Make sure you discharge it before you touch it after you’re done using it (just touch the wires together after it’s off) or you’ll get a tiny little shock lol. Thanks!

SHOCKER!
Works great and powers the stuff I would expect it to, and the voltage is even adjustable! However the factory insulation on the high voltage wires is inadequate and will short to ground, so insulate it with at least three layers of electrical tape. Other than that its awesome and works as advertised.

It did not last for my use, but don’t let that discourage you.
I ran it at 12 V one amp creating a static charge and it worked for about three days. I’m not sure why it stopped by the time I got around to using it. I think third turned date had already passed and to be honest I have a habit of not bothering when I view it as not “significant “it seemed good quality. I’m not sure why it died I just probably wouldn’t purchase this one again.

Shockingly fun!
Get it? Because it shocks you? I used this to make an electrostatic precipitator, but in the process I also made a lot of arcs and coronas. I can verify that it's definitely making negative ions (and ozone) and it does so without getting hot or anything. It can be safely powered from a lithium ion pack and a 12V buck converter.

No spark nothing just gets hot
Hooked up to a 12 volt battery and it only got extremely hot and Nothing but a awful smell beware

It works. Wow.
Power goes to small wires and high voltage comes out big wires. I had the big wires hanging on my leg when I plugged it in and I can now say with all certainty that it does indeed work. Going to have a lot of fun with this. I recommend this product.
