Product works fantasically
I tested this converter out with the GameCube and Xbox, the PS2 controller works very well with it. When the system boots, your controller will be put into Analog mode, and analog mode cannot be turned off. Which is fine for Xbox and Gamecube. The rumble conversion works wonderfully with the Gamecube, but the Xbox rumble conversion works a tad light, the actual xbox controller shakes harder than the PS2 controller in this conversion (I would rate this converter 5 out of 5 stars if the rumble for Xbox isnt that big of a deal to you). but still i think the rumble is still at a sufficient level. As for the controls, it works beautifully. I tested this out with Halo 2 for Xbox and Resident Evil 0 and 4 for GameCube and the analog (i think) works better than the actual controller meant for each system. This converter is also great because you're playing Halo 2 and Resident Evil games like they should be played. I tryed the Dance Pad on the Xbox (not actually in a dance game, just in the menus but i will rent a DDR game and test it out later and update my review) and the buttons register quickly and sufficiantly, it responds well. Here is the button conversions,For Xbox:X is ACircle is BTriangle is YSquare is XStart is StartSelect is BackL1 is WhiteR1 is BlackL2 is Left TriggerR2 is Right TriggerDpad is Dpadleft analog is left analogright analog is right analogL3 is left analog stick buttonR3 is Right analog stick button(this layout matches perfectly with the Xbox Eclipse Controller (made by Pelican but some may have GameStop logo on it instead of Pelican's but it is still made by Pelican))For GameCube:X is ACircle is XTriangle is YSquare is BStart is Start/PauseSelect isn't mappedL1 and R1 both are mapped to ZL2 is Left TriggerR2 is Right TriggerDpad is Dpadleft analog is analogright analog is C analogL3 and R3 aren't mappedTo sum up, this converter works wonderfully, for those who enjoy the PS2 controller, you should definitly order this. I would recommend using the GameStop Chameleon Pro controller for PS2 for best comfort (especially First Person Shooters). Btw, ignore what the other review says, PSone Controllers work fine with this converter as well. If you ask me, the only flaw with this converter is the rumble comes up a tad light for the Xbox (but it still rumbles sufficiently enough).

Good if your used to the play-station controllers
i bought this adapter because i only have 2 working GAMECUBE controllers and i have a PLAYSTATION 1 i also bought it because it was cheep but it works great for the price actually i thought it was going to be a hassle to use but its not really i liked that it came with a paper for the button mapping conversions but i don't use it anymore i also love that instead of it automatically switching to whichever console you (GAMECUBE or XBOX) it has a manual switch which i thought was cool because sometimes the auto switch doesn't work on them and makes them go out faster, also i like that there is also a switch for if you are using a steering wheelbut there is a downfall but only if you play like SUPER MARIO RPG LEGEND OF THE SEVEN STARS or something like that were the buttons make a difference because the buttons are off from the SNES controller which is what i mostly use it for on emulators on my WII but if you are using SNES9XGX for you emulator on the WII you can just change the buttons but if you bought the SNES or NES games from the WII SHOP CHANNEL its going to be a little problem because you cannot switch the controlsbut besides that it works great its still working for me today and im sorry i can't tell you how well it works for the XBOX because i don't have one

Not sealed like in the picture but it works fine.
Works fine with most first party or third party officially licensed products.

PSX controllers do not work well with Xbox
This converter appears to work well for PS2 controllers, on both the Xbox and GameCube. I get the impression from the thing's instructions that it's supposed to work with PSX controllers as well, on the Xbox at least--but mine do not. I bought two converters, both for use with Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix 2 and my Cobalt Flux dance pads, and I find them unusable for that purpose. With the pads (and with an old PSX controller), they introduce a sizable lag; I find it quite easy to hit a button and then pull away from it entirely before the game has even realized I did anything. I was able to use the timing offset in Ultramix 2 to compensate for this lag, just barely, but the game still felt very disorienting to me and so I gave up on this PS2->Xbox converter and built my own pad->Xbox converter, using plans I found at sinistarddr.com . The converter I built was about four times as expensive as this one, but it works exactly one thousand times as well.Incidentally, the PSX controller and Cobalt Flux dance pads did not work at all with the GameCube, using this converter.

Converter Causes a 2 to 3 second Lag response time when using.
I recently purchased this item brand new out of the package and experimented with this product. First I connected the adapter to my Original Xbox and then connected my PS2 controller to it and popped in a Street Fighter 3 Third Strike game from my Anniversary Collection, and wow the lagging and response time when pushing the buttons when kicking and punching and trying to do combos is horrible, which lost the first match trying to play. Then thought well maybe its my PS2 controller so I replaced my PS2 controller with my PS2 fight stick, and it was doing the same lag response on the buttons when kicking and punching and performing combo hits, which failed horribly due to the response time. In most cases it seems you have to enter a command twice to get the adapter to recognize the commands your requesting from the controller. This item is not for hardcore gamers. This adapter causes too much of a lag and slow response time when it comes to any fighting game or shooter. Its fine for adventure and other puzzle games, but for fast paced action games that takes accuracy and timing, this adapter fails on that. I am very disappointed with this product and do not recommend this item to the gaming community on You tube.
