Small Footprint + Great Value = Buy It
I am happy with my purchase, but let me address other reviews that almost made me not buy this k-cup brewer:1) "Hard to fill up." This has nothing to do with this k-cup brewer. Try using your coffee mug as a precision water pouring device and you will be sorely disappointed. YES, water DOES go everywhere if you try and aim water out of a coffee mug. The reason is there is not a pouring lip on a coffee mug. Duh. Solution: we keep a Pyrex measuring cup next to the coffee mugs and PROBLEM SOLVED. Fills with water quickly and easily, with no spills.2) Next, I feel like a lot of reviewers were disappointed with the amount of the coffee output. Ten ounces, the amount it brews, is slightly less than a soda can (12 ounces). Pour that amount of liquid in your coffee cup before you order your machine and see if that'll be enough coffee for you. I included a photo of a full brew in my mug so you can see. It was fine for us, but I can imagine many Starbucks grande and venti drinkers that would be disappointed. FYI--a Starbucks 'tall' (SMALL) is 12 OUNCES.3) Bad taste. YES, ours smelled/tasted metallic straight out of the box. After reading all the reviews, when I received my brewer I ran 6 cycles of water through and then brewed the first k-cup. The coffee was bitter and undrinkable. I then read the instructions for "descaling" in the booklet. (Fill with white vinegar and hit start so that it starts brewing, but without a k-cup. When it starts to brew shut OFF the machine and let it sit for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, hit start again so the vinegar is pumped out of the machine. THEN run water through (still no k-cup) for 6-10 times. I did it until I didn't smell any vinegar). Worked like a charm. Coffee tastes great. If this helped you, please click the "Helpful" button. Thanks! :)

Works great, takes up little counter space
This coffee maker is very easy to use and is amazingly small for a device that works so well. After removing from the box and placing it on my counter I ran four or five cycles of a vinegar/water mix through the unit to ensure it was cleaned of any manufacturing oils etc. After that I ran a few pure water cycles to remove any vinegar that might have remained and then inserted a coffee pod and made my first cup of coffee. It tasted wonderful and was everything I was hoping for. This coffee maker does not have a chamber for holding water so you must add water every time you use it to make a cup of coffee. This is quite easy to do as you simply lift the lid and pour the water in the top, place a cup or mug under the spout and press start. The instructions make it clear to only add 10 ounces of water but there is no need to measure as 10 ounces of water is all it will hold. So I simply fill the coffee maker to the top of the filter and its ready to go. Not having a tank to store water is a GOOD THING. I am ashamed to admit but recently when my K-Cup type of coffee maker stopped working and being a tinkerer I thought I'd open it up to see what ticks. To my surprise the water chamber was full of the most UNPLEASANT SLIME I have ever seen and I am amazed that it hadn't made me sick. From this experience I am sold on single use coffee makers such as this Mixpresso. In the past with all types of coffee makers I would run a couple of the vinegar/water cycles to ensure nothing bad is accumulating inside the coffee maker. But that hadn't worked with my K-Cup unit. With the Mixpresso not having a water chamber I have the assurance that the inside of the unit is staying clean and safe. The coffee will probably taste better as well. One last thing, as ten ounces of coffee does not seem like a lot, after making the first ten ounces of coffee I add about half that amount and run another cycle. This just about fills my coffee mug to the brim and I find the flavor excellent. I would definitely purchase this coffee maker again and most certainly would recommend it to a friend. And yes, I am loving my new-found counter space!

Not a great brewer
So, there are three PROs for this brewer:1) It makes your coffee FAST.2) It's relatively easy to clean.3) It's very easy to use.Now for the CONs:1) Coffee isn't the hottest - after 10 minutes in a well-insulated mug it's already cooled down significantly. I drink my coffee over a 30-minute period, and I usually have to heat it up twice.2) Coffee doesn't taste good. It's weak, and there are usually some grounds at the bottom of my cup. I think it brews it TOO fast, so the grounds aren't given enough time to steep. I'm using the same batch of K-cups from my last brewer (that died), so it's not the cups themselves.3) Product is cheaply made. The plastic on this brewer is definitely of a much inferior quality to my last brewer (Sboly single-cup brewer, about $15 more than this one). It's thinner, and just doesn't feel like a quality product. It weighs *nothing*, like I can dangle it off of my index finger easier than one of my coffee mugs.4) Not much room for a good-sized mug. I can't use any of my larger mugs in this - the largest that fits is a 12-oz. The platform the mug sits on is really high and the cup vessel is really low, so you've got only 5" for your mug. I usually brew 11 oz. and add creamer, so this is an issue. I brew it in my 12-oz mug, then have to pour it in another to add creamer so it doesn't overflow the mug when I tip it to drink.5) They give you a rubber drip tray that sits on top of the platform but it's useless. It's pretty thick for starters, so I can't use it with the mug (because the mug won't fit) and it hardly holds any spill over (my last brewer held up to 6 oz) because it's pretty much solid with a few grooves.6) It sounds like it's going to take off from my kitchen counter. It's pretty...forceful. And I think that's part of the reason I'm getting grounds in my coffee: it's trying to blast through so quickly to get you the coffee fast that it's just not brewing correctly and taking grounds along for the ride.Overall, I'm sorry I bought it as it was a waste of my money. It works, but not well. I've got coffee, but I don't enjoy drinking it. While it fits on my limited counter space, it doesn't fit most of my mugs. :(
