I purchased a dozen of these for use by students in a class. They are reasonably sturdy and at a very good price, especially including the spare blades. It is lightly constructed but perfectly adequate for household chores, opening boxes, etc. The blade retraction works fine and has the typical three blade positions. I would probably not want to cut carpet with it all day every day as it might not stand up to that kind of tradesman use over time. If I wanted something sturdier, I would need to be willing to spend more.My only complaint: typically the handle of this kind of knife is used to hold spare blades. These will do that in the back half of the handle, but it requires a lot of fussing to get them in exactly the right spot and get the two halves fully mated. Small changes in the casting would have made this much easier, and this seems like a design oversight. Still, I would buy them again for occasional and household use.

I know that seems like a low bar, but if you've been around Amazon you know that it can be rare for a physical object to be exactly what it is, work as expected and not be weird in some way that you would notice if you picked it up at store, you know? But these are reliable box cutters. We've been using them a couple of months now. They totally work. They don't like up or do tricks. But if you want a box cutter that's going to reliably work, this is your thing.

I kept 2 for different parts of the house and gave 2 to my son. I also now have extra blades on hand. These should last many years since I only use them to break up cardboard boxes for my recycle.There is one screw to remove when you want to put in a new blade. Easy. The mechanism for pushing out the blade and back in moves very smoothly.

These utility knives are well-crafted, strong and seem to do the job. However part of their appeal to me were the 4 different colors, which would let me easily keep them separated by usage or purpose.Unfortunately I received 3 orange and 1 yellow in the box, which was slightly disappointing. They work fine and thus it's not really worth returning, but this product did not come as described.

I just love these utility knives! I open a lot of packages and these cut through the packaging tape with absolute ease. I used to use scissors and/or a kitchen knife for this task before. If I'd have known how much easier it is to use these box cutters, I would have ordered them a long time ago. These utility knives are hefty, extremely well made, colorful, and a good value. They also come with extra spare blades in a separate little plastic container. The spare blades are coated with some type of lubricant. Why exactly I don't know?. I definitely recommend these REXBETI knives 100%!
