RETRO REFLECTIVE YET DISCREET
I commute at night along a route that runs through several towns..then along a highway then through a rural area. I believe that the halo band helps me be seen by other motorists..as well as by the local authorities ( that may believe that I'm at least attempting to be a considerate motorman and not some hooligan looking for trouble) on my way. The halo required just a little persuasion to pull on to the base of my full face helmet. Once installed it moves very little..millimeters of creep from the optimum location over the black strip base of the helmet. Just a nudge once and awhile to keep it in place. Otherwise it is a "set it and forget it " make sure they see you device.

Reflective but label tore
Immediately upon installing it, the label tore off. It is obvious why, the label and stiches don't stretch like the neoprene does. Also the label lowers the reflective surface area, so I wonder why it is there at all. So 1 star off for the label situation, but it is crazy reflective, and I can remove the label with a seam ripper once I'm sure I won't need the warranty. I had to fold down the band down in 2 spots to get it to clear my helmet's exhaust ports. In some cases this may not be possible, so look at your helmet carefully and see if it's going to work for you. If your helmet slopes off at a smaller diameter at the bottom, the band may not stay on at all.

Excellent Safety Illumination
I has one two decades ago and started riding again. Nice to see it on Amazon. Fights tight and nice and illuminates brightly. Be safe get one.

Would buy again
The Halo band sits quite inconspicuous on my matte black helmet waiting for night to fall. Once the natural light fades and the headlights go on, this band comes alive; its super reflective all around. I've gotten lots of compliments from other motorists commenting on my visibility. Getting it to fit around the base of my helmet was some source of comic relief, but once it's in place it doesn't budge because the back is lined with a sorts of rubbery material. It probably won't return to it's original shape if I were to take it off, but who care? I'm not taking off the reflective band that might save my life at some point!

Very happy. Great attention getter when riding in the dark.
This is the second one I've owned. They really bring attention at night and look very bright even from distance. They're easy to install by just sliding onto the helmet and stretch and stay right where you want it. I went on a week long trip recently on the motorcycle. I had several people ask about it and where they could buy one.

Being seen
Is important when you are riding. The cagers are out to get you, and they wont see you. Maybe however they will see a narrow shiny band floating in the air a few feet off the ground. If you are lucky, they will be distracted by the shiny enough to notice the rider and the motorcycle. This item has to be stretched and I mean stretched around your helmet. It fit fine around my size XL HJC helmet and seems to say in place just fine. Im not sure that it would do alright being taken on and off, so if you want to swap it around, maybe just order more than one. Ride safely!

Stretched beyond use.
In about 6 months, it stretched to the point it was falling off regularly. Used to be a great product, don't know what happened.

the band stays pretty tight and won't move around on the helmet at ...
The MFI Halo Band is certainly bright and will add another level of safety as you ride at night. When mounted, the band stays pretty tight and won't move around on the helmet at all. Since I ride multiple bikes and have multiple helmets, the band really hasn't been abused for long enough to determine if it will hold up over time but my first impression is that it is a great product that I would be happy to buy again.
