Hot Wheels, Classic Ghostbusters Ecto-1 and Ecto-1A Die-Cast Vehicle 2-Pack

I collect Model card of all sizes depending and mostly of vehicles from film and television shows. This is one of the better of the 1/64 scale that I’ve bought with decent attention to detail made.I don’t open the original packaging but Ashok can see from the photos the look and accuracy given is very good, especially the Ecto-1A from Ghostbusters 2. I’m more disappointed with the detail work on Ecto-1 as that could have made the side ladder and cables much more accurate but I do understand that these were made for kids and would get pretty beat up pretty quickly.Overall these are a great addition to a collection like mine and I would not hesitate to purchase more like them.

The car

Great highly detailed versions of the original Ghostbusters cars. The Ecto-1 and 1A from GB 1 and 2. They are quite stunning. I was not expecting the level of paint details on the roof equipment of either. Also interesting is the cars themselves are different die cast tooling. They are not simply the same body with alternate plastic parts. Well done Mattel. Ecto-1A is particularly sharp with all the extra paint and tampo detailing. Not perfect, but quite good for the scale and price.The only negatives I can give it; The Pearl White metalic paint is a little too overdone and obvious. They might have been better served with a simple gloss white. And the lightbars use metalic paint rather than transclear parts. Granted the paint does catch the light and give acceptable results for the lightbars.Overall this is probably the single best product offering tied to the new Ghostbusters reboot movie. Really the only thing worth getting. (Yeah sorry, no kid anywhere ever asked for a Melissa McCarthy Action Figure.) Grab this set when you see it.

Both Ecto-1 and Ecto-1A look great, but I particularly like Ecto-1A for its rich detail. Whereas 1 doesn't have license plates, 1A does. There are all sorts of little touches like "Call Us", "WE BELIEVE YOU", "CALL JL5-2020", and even "Goodyear" on the sides of the tires. The goofy, self-aware logo is present on the sides and back, as well as the caution stripes and green beacons. Lastly, "GHOSTBUSTERS" is in red on the driver's side marquee, and "WE'RE BACK" is in green on the passenger side marquee, though it's kind of hard to make out.

As a child I always wanted to have the vehicles of the ghostbusters but my parents never bought them for me, so now that I'm an adult, I could not resist the temptation to buy them, and the best that came the 2 in a single package, just great.

Been after this twin set for sometime. For speed of overseas delivery I cant fault. Cars look to be in good condition, but the box... The plastic display case is squashed and scratched and the cardboard edges are badly frayed. I realise that as long as the cars are ok what's the deal. It's just that when comparing this to similar items that I have received off Amazon the set looks like its very old and second hand.

Most people reviewing this product have said exactly what I would. Love the item, details, quick shipping etc. Issue was when I opened my door and noticed the packaging hadn’t even been sealed. Item can be seen in the pic the Amazon driver took when delivered. I do not blame the driver. They’re always amazing. For whatever reason the package it was sent in was not sealed which resulted in significant damage to the cardboard and cracked the base of the plastic into pieces. The seal was also 85% ruptured. Don’t blame seller or driver just wish someone would have taken the time to deal before shipping. If people are paying this much it’s typically bc they’re collector’s and want to display. Keep this in mind when ordering and consider looking local as it seems many of these are arriving with their packaging damaged. Lesson learned yet still thrilled to have these.
