Rev-A-Shelf 5" Pullout Shelf Organizer for Kitchen and Bathroom Base Cabinets, Wooden Slide Out Spice/Medicine Rack with Soft-Close, 448-BCBBSC-5C

Just bought a house the previous homeowner had renovated at some point a few years past. For some reason, the cooktop was butted *directly* up against the wall oven cabinet. This meant any bubbling sauce or splattering grease was going to end up right on the side of the cabinet. Decided to bump the oven cabinet over by 12", by purchasing a 12" base cabinet and a 12" wall cabinet. This pull-out organizer installed in a breeze - the hardest part was aligning/screwing the door onto the brackets to ensure a factory-finished look. Also, this thing is STOUT. Solid, thick wood base, three separate sliders for pulling the cabinets out, absolutely NO play in the thing when it's pulled out of the wall. It's a tank!Be aware though - this is labeled as an 8" organizer, but the 12" face-frame cabinets I purchased were a SNUG fit. I do not believe this organizer will fit in a 9" cabinet!

At 5' 7" my arms could not reach to install the rear screws and I could not get my shoulders through the narrow opening. I got someone with longer arms to install the rear screws. I did not install the cabinet door on the sliding unit. This requires us to always access items from the side without the door and is not as convenient. Removing the door from the cabinet and installing the door on the slide out unit as recommended would be better and not that difficult. I had to remove and discard one of the shelves because of the taller items we are storing in the unit.Quality unit. Rolls smoothly.

Great spice cabinet, once in stalled the back is not completely usable

The unit works great in our 9 inch wide end cabinet and we use it for a large spice cabinet. I am glad we did not purchase the one with the utensil holders at the top as i feel they would have been useless. It is fairly easy to install, the only two problems were: 1. finding the slide release levers, took about ten minutes to figure out how to release the bottom mount. 2. you really need to be a bit more flexible then I am (76) to crawl around and get into the 9 inch wide cabinet to position the templet, drill the holes and mount the unit. Luckly I have a young 40+ year old son to do that type of work.

We had a small end cabinet at the end of our kitchen remodel, and since we used our other small cabinet for cookie sheets and other large pans we needed to find a good use for this cabinet. The pull-out does take up some of the real estate of the cabinet, but it allows easy access all the way to the back of a narrow cabinet which is pretty difficult to even access without some type of pull out. Our cabinet was actually a 9" cabinet, but the 7" unit was still too large for the frame opening, so I just shifted the 5" to one side and this allowed a nice storage location for our step stool since we are both rather short and our new cabinets go to the ceiling!Only issue is it is a little stiff opening and closing, but that may be due to buying an opened box item...I was trying to get this unit cheaper by buying used from Amazon Warehouse, the first one was broken and missing the track, the 2nd one had the track but it was bent, it looked like someone dropped it on the corner. I was able to bend it back and it moves smoothly for most of the travel, just the last few inches of close require more force, and it hangs occasionally on open. I left the review at 5 stars because I believe this is from my purchasing of a used damaged unit.

I purchased this as an insert for my new cabinets-to buy a similar unit already in the cabinet would have cost $400 more! I am pleased with the easy installation and the "soft close" feature (I have this in all the new cabinets/drawers) as well as the convenience it provides for access to my spices. This item is a wonderful addition to my kitchen remodel and I would highly recommend it for its quality construction and value for the dollars spent.

I love this thing. I just put in a new kitchen during remodeling and forgot about this item, so I bought after market. Furthermore, I'm very happy with it, and it fit perfectly into my space that was going to store baking pans. Installation is a little bit of a headache, but I got through it. The quality was very good and all the parts were there.
