B Gone White Line Treatment

I’m hoping this works, arrived very promptly but it’s very difficult to depress the syringe.

Our white donkey is particularly prone to seedy toe (powdery white line with cracked or chipped hoof wall). Our grey donkeys seem free of the condition so genetics as well as environment appear to play a role. Standard treatment was for the farrier to excise the affected area and for us to spray regularly with terramycin (the infamous purple spray) together with applications of proprietary hoof hardener but this treatment only kept seedy toe at bay; it came back regularly when the ground was wet. Then one beautiful pre-pandemic day our farrier returned from a visit to the US bearing a tube of B-gone. Although the farrier visits only every six weeks the once per six weeks application of B-gone was more effective than the more frequent application of terramycin. We searched in vain for a UK supplier of B-gone but to no avail. Recently Amazon has offered UK customers supplies from the US. Within 7 days of our placing our order Fedex were delivering our first tube. We apply once a week as a precaution and there has been no further occurrence of powdery white line, cracked or chipped hoof. At last we seem to have a really effective treatment for seedy toe.

I loved this product, but only got 4 applications out of the whole syringe! Fluid leaked from back of syringe so the rest of it went hard and could not be pushed out! Maybe it was a faulty syringe but can’t afford to keep buying 🙁
